Blushes Cafe

myself, my partner and a colleague went to blushes for dinner on a quiet wednesday night and were extremely dissapointed with the food and service approach.

we just ordered plain burgers with a pepper sauce that arrived split and lumpy and was told that happened due to the fact we had asked for no peppercorns, which is complete rubbish as i myself am a chef and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that peppercorns are a binding agent!

so my partners burgwer was sent back covered with a lumpy flavourless goo and a new burger with the proper accompanient was delivered, 15 minutes later, which she then had to eat by herself as our "thin chips" (aka mcdonalds chips)had started to go soggy after about 5mins of waiting.

then onto desserts the first thing that we all saw and perhaps thought that could save our meal experience was the chocoalte fondant. you can never go wrong with a good ol oozing chocolatey centered fondant and perhps some vanilla ice cream to put a subtle finish on the rich flavours. that was all a pipedream with this desert, it showed up on a starter side plate with a mint "tree" size sprig , no ice cream, a tiny amount of sauce, no chocolate centre just a piece of dry foam like sponge that could have easily been bought at tescos that afternoon and microwaved to order.

throughout the evening we were not looked after by the staff, instead the manager argued the split sauce was our fault due to the fact we did not want peppercorns in it and were handed a massive bill at the end of an unpleasant night.

no "thankyou for coming" no "did you enjoy your meal?" no nothing, no satisfaction so on the way home it seemed the only right thing to do was pop into mcdonalds and get some hot and crispy "thin" chips.

this cafebar is one of those places I ll never understand , one day you eat good , next day you eat bad , you pop in for a steak one day and you get a beautifully presented fillet , tender and lovely , you comeback few days later and the same dish is orribly presented , at ther same level of a k pack of our soldiers in irak .. It is all down to luck ? shall I ask whos going to cook my dinner before I rather order it ? interesting fact ...

Went out with a friend who hadn't seen in a while. I ordered a salmon salad and she ordered a burger and ships. Salad was dry and mostly stale and the fish not fresh and the portions tiny for the price we were paying. The service was quite slow and unfreindly. They charge 50p for a glass of TAP water in the middle of a heat wave and their Frappes taste like they have been made up from poweder. A real dissappointment, rip off and a spoil to what could have been and should have been a really enjoyable evening.

Had dinner in blushessw3 early this week ,my girlfriend and I love to try different places in town and I have had the most incredible risotto experience in my life .(wild mushrooms and asparagus) ( They told me afterwards that was an italian hands behind it ) my gf was also more then happy with her meal wich was up to the standard . good selections of cocktails were available and atmosphere quite enjoyable . not cheap but satisfied overall .. watch out for the risotto , the best i have eaten in u.k.

went for a meal on thursday 06th July with a friend, fairly busy time, middle of the afternoon,the service was swift and pleasant,the food was nice without being out of this world, good feeling about the place, very layback yet efficient. will come back when in the area again.

We also use to frequent Blushes in the good old days, however not anymore!!! After a recent visit we also found our food to be inedible, the Manager not helpful in any way when approached, but yet still added 12.5% service which we refused to pay - this didn't help their attitude at all. Chelsea prices for cafe food! More atmosphere in a graveyard!Ps what happened to the 2 lovely Irish girls?

We go here every year after the Chelsea flower show the food is very nice and the staff aways smile and give excellent service. The sorento salad was delightfull and my husbands steak so tender and cooked to perfection. We will see you next year Blushes Cafe have a great year.

Been there during the chelsea flower show on tuesday .. Altough the place was extremely busy and confusioned the food has come up fast and tasty..noisy place when busy , but not bad overall .

I have been a regular visitor to Blushes in the Kings Road for many years, where I discovered cafe society has returned to Chelsea. Offering a variety of tasty dishes - many of them innovative and prepared by two imaginative chefs - I found a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere here combined with pleasing service from an enthusiastic and unpretentious, young staff.

We use this cafe a lot the food is always good and never swiming in oil. We have eaten here 6 times this month including Sunday brunch today. Great music friendly staff. Do not beleave every thing some have to say to much perhaps they did not get a free drink or somthing Dont worry blushes we will be back
