Having read the reviews on this site I decided to give it a try. We found the place a little dull, there was certainly no atmosphere. The restaurant was almost empty but they still refused to let us sit at a larger table away from the bar, they said the table was booked but there was only one other group of 4 all the time we were there.

The food was ok but generally the standard boring choice that always tastes the same, as usual at Indians these days the starters were significantly better than the mains. The portions were small and the food was not particularly hot. indicating to me that it had probably been warmed up rather than cooked from fresh ingredients.

I can't complain about the cost, it is genuinley cheap £40 for two with wine. I'm still looking for a good Indian Restaurant experience that serves freshly made traditional Indian cuisine with some character. It's been a long search at a wide range of establishments from the ones that charge £10 for water to those that feed you for £10 all in.

Very good value for money. Good food with a bottle of wine was 15 pounds each> service was good and personalised. The staff was very welcoming: as their location is not an obvious one on the main road (you would not pass by this place randomly as it is in a quiet residential street), they staff was making a special effort to be nice. I will definitely go back. They also do take away.

We found this restaurant 5 years ago and we always come here whenever we visit London. The food is excellent and the service beyond what you can expect.

This is the most delightful Indian restaurant. The food and service was first class. Tried this restaurant on Friday 15th of June 2007. Will go back again when next in London.

A an absolute little gem of an Indian restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Chelsea. Forget the expensive Indian restaurants - if you want great food and great service then is the place.

i can not recommend this restaurant more highly, we had a whole selection of dishes from an incredibly delicate tandoori fish to an prawn saag and a punchy vegetable dansak - all delicious...AMAZING peshwari naan bread.

service was lovely and the whole meal totally reasonable. a little bit off the beaten track but well worth the journey. makes a change from usual chelsea/fulham prices

This is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is delicious, and the onion bhajias are the best I have ever had. A night out here represents excellent value for money, especially considering it just of the King's Road. The staff are so friendly and you'll get a warm welcome every time. I highly recommend it.

I was directed to this restaurant as the best take-out delivered Indian food in the area. It is good, and serves a wonderful shredded coconut and carrot chutney to go with the good tandoori chicken, and good kormas. The naan is great and they will make an onion naan even though it's not on the menu. The restaurant itself is off the beaten track, in a neighborhood near Lots Road, but it's the only place my husband and daughter will order take-out from. I like actually eating there: the front dining room is very small but charming in a funky way, and there's also a dining room in the back. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. The food has never disappointed us yet, always good and spicy, and non-spicy when requested. And the price is right.
