Try the vermeer shake...pricey but delightful! Amsterdammer pancakes are good too. But all is a bit overpriced if you ask me.

I loved my chilli pancake! As soon as I've saved up I shall be heading back for another one. Just get rid of a table or two so it's not so cramped and the staff can do their job a little more easiy - and hopefully they'll cheer up a bit.

Let me first off start by saying I definitely know about food, and what this place serves up, isn't it!

We stopped into My Old Dutch for a nice, quick spot of lunch on Saturday afternoon. The restaurnant was buzzy and busy which we took to be a great sign. We were seated relatively quickly but that's about the only good thing I can say about this place. We waited over half an hour for two pancakes which finally turned up, served to us by the most unenthusiastic waiter. We order a banana pancake with ice cream and chocolate sauce. The pancake itself was ok but nothing outstanding and certainly nothing I couldn't have done a thousand times better myself. The bananas in the pancake were burnt on the bottom, the vanilla ice cream was watery and uninspiring. The chocolate sauce was more like anaemic kiddie pudding. For this, we had the pleasure of paying over £8 per pancake. What an utter rip off. This place may have been good once upon a time but if you come across it today run ... run far away.

I am a huge fan of pancakes and had high expectations for this place, but left just feeling satisfied and not overly impressed. The tables were cramped with little space, but staff were quite friendly and food & drinks were served quickly. Good location, but I would need to go back and try all the other flavours to reconsider my view.

I'm from Portugal and everytime I go to London i'll eat at My Old Dutch. Since i've been there for the first time, 6 yares ago, the pancakes are the same: simply the best!!!

This place was very popular with my family when I was a child. The adults could bring my cousins and I and we'd be happy, with large pancakes and milkshakes, and they in turn could relax and be safe in the knowledge that we'd eat everything, as well enjoying the food themselves.

However, I went there again a little while back and the place is completely different. My sentiments resonate with many of the reviews here - the pancakes are not worth the price, the service is terrible, and all in all just isn't worth the hassle. Gone are the good old days - steer clear of My Old Dutch.

Good food. Children friendly. OK prices. Waiting staff very slow and not attentive. Not recommended if you are in a hurry. Otherwise, an enjoyable experience.

A long wait for a substandard pancake served by waiting staff who didn't seem to care, but for now seemingly the only such restaurants this side of the channel. Bring back La Galette!

I completely disagree with the other reviews here, I ate in this restaurant recently and would never consider going back. On arrival the waiter argued with us about where we could sit - there were only 3 occupied tables, so despite us acknowledging that it wasn't busy and that should they need us to move we could, he still demanded that we didn't take a table for four (there were two of us). More irritating still was the fact that noone came in after us, the restaurant was empty!

The service from the start was terrible, slow and the waitress was sullen and rude. The food was average, and not worth the prices they charge.

We couldn't wait to get out soon enough and looking back should've walked out as soon as the waiter had started arguing with us.
