Went a couple of weeks ago-was amazed at the delicious food on offer-mussels in a variety of sauces and styles and even lobster-at very reasonable prices. Best deal i got was beat the clock deal, where if you get there at 6pm say, you only pay £6, if you get there at 5.30pm you only pay £5.30, and you choose from a set menu. They also had another menu there that was £6.95 for each meal, and these prices are very much discounted from the normal main meal price. They also had another very god menu. I had rottiserie chicken with garlic mushroom and cream sauce-delicious! very very tasty, filling, and flavoursome, with lovely posh frites (posh chips). Heaven. Cocktails are quite expensive however-more than the cost of my beat the clock meal, so i had a soft drink. Will be going back to try the mussels next.

There is alfresco eating and the atmosphere was summery and nice.

I haven't been to Belgos for a couple of years as I moved out of the Clapham area.

But I have to say as an old regular, I was not disappointed. Even though I don't liike mussels my friends assured me that they were the best they have had.

I chose the duck breast which was not only perfectly cooked but very tender with a tasty plum sauce.

The atmosphere was truly great and we would really like to thank our waitress who made our night. The service was perfect.

We tucked into the Belgian beers like the old days so we did end up leaving in high spirits. Great beer list with very amusing names.

Good job. I would recommend this place to anyone. Gives good value for money too.

Was there for our works Christmas night out in Dec 09 and had a fab night. Went back last night for another staff (birthday) night out and had a disastrous time.

They were inattentive, slow with a 'don't care' attitude. Admittedly, they were busy and I was in a party of 12, however:

We waited for an hour for our main course, the frites were cold and cooked in stale oil, the restaurant was freezing and we all, including other customers had to dine in our coats. My 'medium cooked' steak was like leather and tasteless. We were told the salmon fish cake (starter) was finished, only for it to be brought out, as an additional dish with our main course. The table was left uncleared and cluttered for most of the night. We had a gateau for our colleagues birthday and were given a steak knife with which to cut it. On the flip side, we were each given a shot (because the promised set menu was 'off the menu') and there was an automatic 20% taken off the total bill without our having to ask for it as they too knew it was an appalling experience. Regardless, I would have rather paid the full price for a good night. So, Belgo Clapham, we shall be taking our group bookings and hard earned cash elsewhere in future! I have previously been a regular patron at the Covent Garden branch and feel sorry that the group have been let down by the disgraceful and disappointing display last night.

I went to Belgo last week and had salmon fish cakes for appetizer and mussels as main dish. i wasn't impressed with the appetizer to be honest and my 3 friends weren't neither with theirs but the mussels were really delicious. for dessert i had chocolate cheese cake which i strongly recommend. the service was really good. i am going back tonight to try their lobster. is a very good place for a hot date
