The Long Bar

My wife and I visited the Long Bar for the first time at around 3pm and we were pleased with every aspect. The service, the food, the wine and the relaxed atmosphere provided a welcome break from the rat race outside. We sat at a table amongst the plant and water features in the courtyard which was spacious and airy. We certainly will return.

Have met a friend from the LA there. He picked the place as he thought, from the American's point of view, that the best bars are the ones hidden in the nice hotels, plus he has been there several time when he stayed over in London. We did enjoy our drinks, but it was very crowded. (Well, it was before the Credit Crunch era, lots of bankers and blondes there, hehehe) We had a good time there, although not very long before we set off for dinner. Plus I did not pay so no worries about the value, haha!

A very stylish bar with lovely cocktails. However, the bar was full of old, rich, short men on the hunt for orange, footballers wife types. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere at all. It was all a bit 90's.

the long bar is probably the best bar in london with a great selection of bartender wich can guarantee amazing drink even when the bar is crowded as usually is.

the drink list is a good mix of fruity cocktail and classic twisted cocktail.the table service is fine and all the staff is always smailing at you and this make you feel comfortable.when you get there dont forget to have a couple of drinks into the purple bar:amazing atmosphere with a great selection of ultra premium spirits. the vodka selection is about 150 differents labels! dont ask for a j.d.&coke because they dont know what it does mean! frank

We didn't like it. Mobbed bar and very slow service. A service charge is added to the bill even though you've queued yourself for ages to get your (overpriced) drinks - the cheek!

Snooty hostess in the garden who would prefer to make people stand and keep several tables empty. Big on attitude and nothing else. Give it a miss!
