This is an excellent find for any gourmand seeking a 5***** hotel quality traditional breakfast which they serve all day. They have perfected the art of delivering high quality food at their busiest times which means you may have to wait 5 minutes for a table plus the ten for your meal. It is worth the wait. As all sausage & bacon enthusiasts will know, slow cooking on a warm griddle makes for the best flavour - I don’t know how they do it and hope this positive review does not hinder the delicate balance which the proprietress has got perfect. In spite of the distance we often find ourselves travelling and arriving at 3 to 4 pm on a lazy weekend to enjoy our well cooked delights in the unhurried and relaxed atmosphere. The cost is a fraction of the Barclay Court (Knightsbridge) but the food quality is the very same. Long may their success continue!

Love the place, been going there for years. Slightly frustrating having to wait for a seat at weekends, but the food and friendly service make up for it....best breakfast in south london!!

We live around the corner from this place and find it nice for a coffee and papers weekday mornings. However, it is a bitterly disappointing place to eat on the weekends, particularly at peak times. The food like the service is only average at best and it is not a pleasant experience to sit upstairs with so many people standing around waiting for a table.

Sadly, the management have made the downstairs a smoking area, which makes it unbearable to even contemplate eating down there as a non-smoker. In addition, the smoke from downstairs, carries up the stairs and affects the non-smoking area. I am sure this will be a better place to eat, once the non-smoking legislation comes into force in England and Wales.
