Firstly the positive, nice decor. Apart from that I can find little to recommend this restaurant. I went as a party of 27 (my table had 11 people on it) and we were offered the choice of 2 set menus, one vegetarian, and one non-vegetarian. Now every restaurant I've been to where you have a set menu, allows you to choose which dishes from the set menu you want, not this place! We were told what we were getting, and were expected to share for example, the chicken dish (which arrived on a medium to large plate) between 11 of us! They were however more than generous when it came to serving up green beans and egg fried rice, which in their eyes is a main dish! They also were at pains to remind us that any drinks we ordered beyond the first one, would have to be paid for!
The staff were unfriendly and it felt like we had ruined their day by actually paying them to eat there, speaking of which, the set menu was £24.80 per person for 2 courses! That wouldn't be too bad if the food was excellent, but sadly it was no more than average.
All in all a poor dining experience with at best average food, and poor unfriendly service. One to avoid.

I have been there twice. The first time I was there with my boyfrined, we had a quite and romantic dinner, even though we are both not that into Chinese cuisine, we really liked it: the food was great and service attentive. So we decided to go there for the second time, but with a group of friends, we had a lot of fun and everyone really enjoyed the food.
foos is great, even my friend, who is really difficult to please with regards to food, said that she liked the place and food.
service is good, but a bit slippery, as my friend waited for the soup much longer than we did.

I was there one year ago and I think it's the best chinese restaurant I've ever been to, the food is great, the cocktails too and the staff is very polite and friendly, sometimes there is live-music, such a great ambience! this year I'll go back, but you have to know that it's expensive, but it's worth the money!

Food is good especially the dim sum, but overpriced. And they sell shark fin soup so I won't be coming back.

This place is seriously overpriced. The service is not good and not even a welcome at the door. The waiter/waitress never said a word, other than "order?"..
The food is not very good or of very good quality - I was very disappointed.
For the prices on the menu, I expected some really great and yummy tasting food which would be prepared to a very high standard - like a 5 star restaurant. Although, I could have got better food at some dirty restaurant in China Town.

Fantastic! Had a reservation for a Friday, and upon arrival we had a choice whether we wanted to be seated in the area were they had live music or in a quiet room!
The food was amazing, although slightly pricey for what you get. However you soon forget about the prices as you start to indulge on all thats on offer.
The Chicken Dumplings in Superior Spicy Soup is an abolsolute must for anyone who enjoys their heat! And the Steamed Spicy Butterfly Prawns with Minced Fish were abolutely tender and succulent.
We were a bit wary in ordering the chefs special of Braised Rack of Lamb but were extremely pleased we did. Have never tasted chinese style lamb racks before and it did not disappoint. However you don't get much of a rack, rather four very juicy and meaty cutlets/chops with delicious knotted noodles and vegetables.
Can not fault this place at all in any areas. We definitely will be going back for more!

Went here for Dinner (half price menu deal on Sundays). the food was very good, nicely presented and relatively good portions. The music was a bit out of place (strange disco/pop) but nonetheless the atmosphere was nice. The service left a little to be desired, we had to ask 4 separate times before we were given water , that aside however the waiters were nice. The front of house service, more specifically the man- was poor. He was very cold and pretty much ignored us, handing my boyfriend his coat in a very annoyed manner before walking away. That soured the evening slightly. I'd recommend it but without the offer it is quite pricey and set your expectations to low on the front of house service!

Had an excellent lunch there yesterday. Very good food, subtle, well presented and the staff all seemed charming, in fact unusually so. There is a proper cocktail bar and the whole experience was very positive. The restaurant was crowded and deservedly so.
How can my experience have been so different from other reviewers?

This place is terrible, i will not be going back and do not recommend it. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever.
The blend of poor quality overpriced chinese food with bad blues music doesnt work at all.
We were a group of 10 sat at a large table next to the piano bar. The music was quite loud so it was difficult to talk, the lights were so dim it was hard to read the menu and we were initially given 1 menu for 10 of us. After insistent requests the waiter brought 2 more.
While the place tries to be posh (waiters unroll your napkin and place it on your lap, continuously come and refill your glass etc) - the service is terrible. The waiters are rude and extremely clumsy, dropping and spilling things.
The food is extremely overpriced for the quality - which is the same as in any cheap restaurant in soho, and one of our group got a bit sick from the food.
Their website says there is a menu for £24 but in reality the cheapest menu available is for £45.
Awful place.
