| absolutely love love LOVE this place. The food is amazing. I had the best risotto I've ever eaten here and risotto is not something I usually order as in my experience, even top restaurants seem to get them wrong most of the time. The Eastern's risotto was perect though - creamy, firm and full of flavour. The whole sea bream was also excellent as was the asparagus salad. Their menu is seasonal so it's always changing which is great. they even grow some of their own veg in their roof garden! I have been a few times for a roast on Sundays too and the pork is incredible; Soft, melt in the mouth, expertly seasoned with perfect crispy crackling and delicious firm vegetables. Even the roast potatoes were great. Again, something very rarely done right. The bread and butter pudding desert is incredible as is the white chocolate cheesecake. It's really aesthetically pleasing too with a relaxed atmosphere. I've noticed some people have complained about the service, but I can honestly say the staff there have always been lovely when I've been there. Seriously, one of the best gastrpubs in London I reckon and I'm a major foodie so have tried most of note! Bravo!

You'll read the reviews below and have two minds about this place - so be clear:
GO for the great food and value for money (the wines are pretty decent also)
DON'T GO for the service (its just a pub - not pseudo gastro anything) or cleanliness of the toilets (apauling).
The Easton is a good pub, with excellent food and decent music - I go as this is just what I want when having a pie with mates on a cold Monday night or a roast with my partner on a sunny Sunday.
