Great food, often go as work up the road however the staff are just really rude sometimes and don't have a clue about good service - last night I went with around twenty mates, we had booked in advance, yet the two guys serving could not have been more unhelpful and grumpy if they tried. I often go and meet mates here on a Sunday for a roast as its a good loaction - however last night was the last time that I would be doing that!

I meet a few friends here before going to a gig nearby. The place has a sort of bustling but relaxed feel to it. I went for scallops with chorizo which were excellent. You probably can't go wrong with scallops but the accompanying smashed potatoes with fennel and coriander were also lovely. The beef pie was pretty good according to my friends, although nothing outstanding. We had to wait a little longer for the food to arrive than I would usually expect in a pub but it was worth it nonetheless. The mains were around £12 which seemed reasonable for the quality of the food. One downside of this place is that they didn't seem to offer many starters or small plates so it wouldn't work out so well if you were after a snack or just something to share. The Easton is certainly recommendable though and I'll be going back next time I'm in the area.

I had Sunday lunch here a few weeks back and the food was really excellent. The service was slow to say the least but I can handle that if the food is as good as it is there. Unfortunately the Easton has fallen into the same greedy trap as many other great gastropubs. When I called to book a table for lunch this Sunday I was told the first sitting is 1pm to 2.30pm, so we were meant to have our meal in an hour and a half. Surely not the point of a Sunday lunch! Especially if we wanted to have starters and dessert.
Needless to say, I won't be going back there.

Visited this place last night and it is possibly the worst pub I have ever been to. The "service" was non-existent, having pre-booked a table several days in advance no table was available for us on arrival. When the food was order we were told the kitchen had run out of vegetable, and most of the main dishes. When we did get the food that was available they had run out of wine glass to accommodate the normal 1 each policy I believe is common in other establishments. To make up for a lack of vegetable we requested some side dishes be provide for the table, we graciously received a whole bowl of beans for a table of 10!!! To top off our dinning experience they had also run out of condiments and all deserts..... (Not great for a Wednesday night, dread to think what it would be on a busy weekend).
Following our somewhat dictated dinner we asked to have a word with the manager, who duly didn't bother coming to discuss the situation with us, which pretty much sums up this establishment attitude to "customers"...

I went to the Easton for the first time last week, with my elderly father, two foodies friends from abroad and my 1 year old. Despite our being not exactly the target customers (except for the foodie friends) they dealt with us really well. And the food was outstanding. Good choice, good portions, and delicious. And well priced. I shall go again - sunday lunch sounds like a good idea. My father who thought initially that I was taking him to a total dive, said it was the best meal he'd had in years, and he lives in one of those gastronomic bits of France.

I just wanted to say that The Easton is my favourite pub/restaurant in London. We eat heer at least once a fortnight and in the 2 years i have been doing that i have never had a meal that was less than absolutely fantastic and delicious. Their menu is always varied and qwuite hard to choose from as everything is so good. Portions are huge and the price is so reasonable you cant quite believe it. The staff are ridiculously friendly and laid back and they make the best bloody mary in town.

I had my birthday lunch here in October last year. There were about 14 of us, most of us eating, and the food was unfailingly delicious - enough veggie and fish options for the vegaquarians among us, too! The staff were really friendly, and very laidback about our sprawling, occasionally raucous, group. Loads of light streaming in, comfy chairs, fabulous retro wallpaper - wonderful way to while away a Sunday birthday afternoon.
