Poor service. Rip off BYO fees. Rude staff. Don't go here if you wish to be treated like a human.
The only restaurant we have ever walked out of in disgust.
The manager was reminiscent of the soup nazi from Seinfeld only without the comedy relief.

Rude arrogant staff. Booked a table for 3 and arrived early and was told that I had to wait by the door as no tables were available. Watched 6 subsequent walk-ins get seated. I asked again to be seated as I wanted to order a drink and was told that I could not sit down till the rest of my table arrived...! No offer of a drink or a menu to look at. At the reservation time one more of my table arrived and still they would not seat me. The explanation of it being policy was spat out at me as I enquired why this was not explained when I made the reservation and indeed why they bothered to take the reservation at all. When I mentioned that the third diner was going to be late, they told me I should have called everyone to make sure they were going to be on time and if one was not, I should push back the reservation. When I pointed all this out to the Manager I was told that "all restaurants in London now do this" and that if I did not like it I could cancel the table.
Basically these rude greedy people would rather have every seat filled at all times with whoever comes first than offer the elegant service for which Thailand is so famous.
Needless to say I walked out having been in the restaurant for 20 mins without even being able to sit at my reserved table...

Addie's Thai Cafe was exeptional value for money and yet the food was the best Thai i have ever tried.
To be honest the starters were the best part they left my mouth watering! the main course was not a let down, the classis pad thai was scrumptious. There was a limited choice for desert o i stuck with traditional ice cream which was good.
Addie's itself is basicaly in a long hallway , although not too cramped. and i would advise making a reservation before going because this restaurant is very popular; about 20 mins aftart i arrived the whole restaurant was full!
I would recomned this restaurant to anyone for is looking for a nice evening with top quality food with an even better price tag! =]

2 weeks ago i booked this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday. 'could you please reserve the best trable you have as it's a special occassion?'..'no problem'. Great. Arrived on time, and before i'd finished mentioning my reservation he gestured us over to a free table. By the kitchen. Ok, not ideal but not going to cause a fuss. Then when ordering our food we were asked to move tables to make room for a larger group. Fine, but we then waited a good 30 mins for our order to be taken.
Food arrived promptly. Royal platter not worth 10.50 though. Coconut and lemongrass soup perfect. My partner's main dish was the speciality 'chicken in lemongrass and chili', rated with 1 spice (little spicy), it nearly took his mouth off, went through 2 bottles of water! Had to leave half of it. My Pad Thai was very nice, but quite stodgy. Thai pancake desert and ice cream was lovely.
Bill came to 56 quid, for starter, main, dessert, 2 iced teas and 2 bottles of water. Felt quite out of pocket for what we'd eaten, and were still a bit hungry. I would go again, but would prob be firmer with service etc and would re-consider what i order.

This restaurant is not big but the atmosphere is nice. With dim light and oriental decoration, it is romantic and cozy.
We ordered two starters, the garlic deep friend chicken wings and minced chicken spring rolls. I like the source of the garlic chicken wings particularly. The spring rolls are not very impressive but definitely not disappointing. As regards main courses, we had green curry prawn and stir-fried roast duck, both served with sticky rice. The texture of the sticky rice is quite special, but it may not be good for people with weak stomach and thus unable to digest food which is hard. The roast duck is stir-fried with mushroom, green pepper and onion with spicy sauce. This dish is highly recommended!!!
The 2-course dinner for two only costs us £25. I believe it is more value for money than other luxurious Thai restaurants in London.

I love Thai food and I must said the quality of the dishes at Addies was very good. Particulary, I didn't liked the services; we went on a Saturday night and it seems they were just focused on closing the restaurant as soon as possible. So, probably, the best way to enjoy the food is getting early.

One of the best thais in town. Small and cozy, great food, great ambience and good service. And value for money as well. Been there a couple of times, and looking forward to the next occasion.

I've also been going to Addies for years and love it. Very good value, lovely people, and great food. Plus now, the biggest menus in the whole world! (Physically, I mean; not in terms of range).

Have been living in Earls Court for a couple of months last night but rearely eat out there....what have I been missing? Went to Addies last night with a friend at the last minute and was over-whelmed by exceptionally tasty food. I went for the beef salad which was lovely, good portion size and even took some home in a doggy bag as couldn't bare to waste it. Overall it was a really good experience and won't hesitate to go back soon, again and again. If you're in the area, don't miss out!
