Good food, reasonably priced, good service, couldn't have asked for much more. Would go again.

Would love to write a review of the food - but sadly didn't get the opportunity to try it. On arrival, a rather rude waiter informed us that our reservation for 8 (we made a month ago) did not exist and they could not accomodate us.

Having travelled all the way from Essex to experience some apparently excellent Thai food - no effort was made to accommodate us either then or at a later time and the staff did not appear to give a damn. Perhaps they and the owner might if I post this review on every London restaurant website......

Your reputation was clearly not built on customer service and no matter how good your food might be - its needs to be!

May I also take the opportunity to strongly recommend Benito's Bistro opposite Addies who not only accommodated us at the last minute with great hospitality in their clearly busy restaurant - and served up one of the best Italian meals I have had in a long time. They thoroughly deserved the several hundred pound at the end of the night that Addies missed out on.

Shame on you for letting down the great reputation of Thai hospitality!

DONT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. After booking a table for 3 people, 2 of us arrived first and were told that we could not sit down until the third person arrived. We explained that he would be 5 minutes but as soon as the 5 minutes were up they gave our table away.

The manager was rude and only said thats our policy. This is not the first time that I have been to this restaurant and found the staff to be rude.

I WILL NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN.

can't understand the bad reviews, i can only assume that people don't realise this isn't somewhere like patara or nahm where you expect good service and a fussy atmosphere. it's a little local cafe that happens to do some of the best thai food in london. yes the staff can be a bit surly sometimes but i've never had a problem and i've been there loads. prices seem higher these days but hey they have got to make a living.

thai food in london is usually disappointing so i am happy to have Addie's as my local, even if it's not a wow-factor kind of place. i would say to people to give it another chance and if you haven't been yet, try it!

Tamarind and Thyme

Tamarind and Thyme

Sunday, July 10, 2011 - Blai had to have his favourite Pad Thai) which was beautifully presented under a lacy omelette veil. It was very good and had well-balanced flavours though the pork we ordered it with was a bit tough. I didn't feel like having dishes with rice so I ordered another one dish meal, the Pineapple Fried Rice. The rice had been fried with a red curry paste and chunks of chicken and fresh pineapple. It was very moreish; I love spicy curried fried rice...It was great to see that Addie's is still a good Thai restaurant after all these years.
