Cafe Rouge (Wellington St)

Taking into account that Cafe Rouge is a chain and I have previously visited their branch in Brook Green and Kensington, I was under the impression that I would not be disappointed to the extent I have been by the Covent Garden branch. The food was consistently good in comparison with the other restaurants I have visited, but the service left much to be desired.
Whilst I appreciate that it is December, you would think that a cafe/restaurant would have adequate heating/draught exclusion to maintain warmth throughout the building, although I did notice that people sitting in my locality were wearing thick jumpers and/or coats. Fire exits are a safety feature and not a meants for staff to go in/out to have a chat.
I had vegetarian company whom had explicitly asked for their vegetarian starters to be served as a main course to coincide with what the carnivores were having. The vegetarian dishes arrived and we had to wait for the rest of the meat dishes to arrive. The waitress' frustration was quite clear and to an extent, I sympathised under the pretense that she was new. One of the "plusses" to this place was that they were not audacious enough to add a service charge to our bill.
Saying this, I still would recommend Cafe Rouge's other premises that I have previously visited.
