We visited this restaurant (Covent Garden) today and it could not of been better, obviously they have got their act together since the last review in 2006. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Pleasent atmosphere and very clean, and that goes for the toilets aswell. Will probably go there again if the opportunity arises.

I have gone off this chain completely now that I learn that their waiters make £3.50 per hour and the tips that clients give go to make their hourly rate up to the minimum wage. Shocking!

I have been a fan of this restaraunt for ten years. I reccomend to anyone who is a real italian foodie. The service is attentive but not intrusive, the staff very knowledgable and helpful. My real indulgence is the vernaccia de san giminano to accompany my choice from the lunch menu. The after diiner chocs another.
Please visit and experience real italian tastes without pretension.

Good marketing but nothing else.Poor dish and self service atmosphere. It doesn't worth the price!Eastern european cooks have still to learn how to make pasta.Eastern european waiters should learn english before start to work.probably the worst restaurant i tried so far.

Hmm, reading the other reviews, one wonders if we're all talking about the same place! My partner and I visited last Friday (7th April) and quite frankly the food was poor, the service oily, and the value for money disappointing. The swordfish was tasteless and rubbery, the rabbit had so many bone fragments in it that one would think it was carved with a lump hammer instead of a knife! The starters were uninspiring, although the sheets of fresh pasta with pesto was passable if lacking a little in garlic.
On the whole an unsatisfying meal.

Took the girlfriend here for her birthday last Saturday, had a fantastic meal, from the set menu, the pasta starter was delicious and then the calves liver for a main which was equally tasty. Pretty good service (apart from waiter spilling a drop of wine into my main course)! Would recommend it definately, nice interior, friendly staff, very pleasant all round. Not to be mistaken though for other Carluccios eateries price wise though!!

Outstanding! The staff were lovely and really paid attention. The atmosphere was nice. But the food - wow. One must have the wild mushrooms when at Carluccio's. You'd have to not eat for a day to fit in all courses offered, but it's tempting to try! I had mushrooms with thin bread to start, and then saltambocca (sp?) which was divine. The tiramasu was good but not great. But a fantastic meal, good wine. Quite expensive but great. Highly recommended.
