Sorry are we talking about the same restaurant? This place is a dump; the food's terrible and over priced (for what you get). The Manager's arrogant and rude and we had to fight to have the tasteless and over cooked mushroom and cream pasta removed from the bill. No apologies - the Manager could not care less. Don't waste your money - I love my food and would rather have gone to a Burger King than to waste money (and time) here.

Please don't waste your money on dining here. I never feel compelled to write reviews but this was one of the worst meals l've had in a long time.
Bland restaurant, poor service and terrible food. The salads were an absolute joke and they had the nerve to charge us for bread that we didn't even ask for.
Please save your money and dine elsewhere!

We took the family to see Hairspray on 27th December and happened upon this restaurant by chance.
Well - what a find! The people/waiters were friendly, the service great and the food was absolutely marvellous.
We will recommend this restaurant to others and will definitely come again ourselves!

Was over in London on business and was recommended this restaurant by a colleague. The service was absolutely excellant with glasses being refilled regularly. The food was delicious - scampi starter to die for and steak for main course - tender and good, followed by a huge wedge of chocolate cake. Friendly attentive waiters returned to repreadly fill up our coffee cups and afterwards we were given complimentary liquers and chocolates. We were made to feel very welcome and were invited to stay and enjoy the relaxing ambience of the restaurant as long as we wished. Not excessively overpriced - about £30 per head for 3 courses and wine.
Not usually a writer of reviews but when I read some of the previous ones, I felt I should put people right. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely return next time I'm in the area!!!

Called in for a meal after an evening at the theatre with my wife. I don't normally bother to comment on restaurants but this time I felt that I should. The food was of a high standard, as was the service. Great value also (March 2007)

The food was overpriced and very bland, they didn't have what we initially wanted, so opted for the lamb moussaka which was almost vegetarian, given that there was only a tiny amount of meat and I would go as far to say it made me feel sick. The portions were also very small considering the price. The side salad arrived in possibly the smallest bowl I have yet seen. We also had a caraffe of their house wine which appeared to be 50% water! The restaurant was clean and well presented and the staff attentive and polite. Unfortunately this did not make up for the very poor quality of the food. If you have £50 to spend on a meal out, eat else where.

The worst restaurant in the area. My partner had pate for starter. With the word 'farmhouse' in the name I was foolish enough to think that there would be some pate, rather than a slice off supermarket 'meat' paste with burnt bread. I had duck for main that was really tough, in a watery and surprisingly sweet gravy. The carrots were overcooked. My partner too the waiter's recommendation of the lamb and was picking it out of his teeth for the rest of the night. I was astonished when the bill came and it was almost £50 for 1 starter, 2 mains and 1/2 a bottle.
Atmosphere wise we should have guessed from the lack of other diners and 3 interfering waiters to 1 table ratio.
I would never normally write this sort of review, but it really was the worst restaurant experience I have had.

After reading a rave review in the local magazine "In and Around Covent Garden", November 2005 issue, we decided to give it a try and we were glad we did. Had the baked lamb and my wife had the marinated chicken breast. The bread and butter pudding was also excellent.

Strolling through Covent Garden, we came across the Farmhouse Table. Decided to give it a try and glad we did. Excellent quality and value, especially their lamb shank.
