I book a birthday party for 30 people at henrys covent garden for 8 pm till 1130pm..Me and my partner came right on time..BUT the bouncer wont let us in as its too busy...I have been explaining to him that I have a party book for 30 people and im the birthday celebrant...He wont take any of it and just plainly said you have to go find another bar elsewhere...My partner has to grab a staff just to sort us out...and eventually we got in after 15 minutes explaining...We demanded to speak to the manager....and so he came....the bouncer said that he saw us falling all over the place thats why he does not want us in...I was so shocked!!!lies on your face....Because Me and my partner came looking so fresh and not touch a drink yet and arrived in black cab and got off right in front of the bouncer. The manager said he is just doing his job at least you got in....Honestly I spend my money there that night...the party must go on...But honestly dont book this place.. Even After reporting it to the manager still it happened to one of my guest similar problem as well with the same bouncer. same night...Friday night 25/11/11.

I went to Henrys bar 16th July for a birthday booking of 12 people.

We reserved a seating area upstairs, On arrival we were told our table was downstairs in the furthest darkest corner. We complained and got moved but this took 15 mins and endless times up and downstairs.

We arrived at 5pm and was a good atmosphere - good music and quite busy.

We ordered 2 food platters - only one arrived, after complaining the 2nd one did turn up!

By 9pm the tolets were filthy with on sink out of action, toilet roll and mess over the floor in in the cubicles.

On a plus side the cocktails were nice and the drinks service at the bar very good.

Henry's being right on top of Covent Garden makes this a good and easy place to meet. Limited outside seating but a spacious and snazzy interior, this venue is ideal for small parties and couples with a vibrant atmosphere. The outside can be deceiving to how large this place really is, inside showing off a oval gallery over looking the lower ground floor.

They have a good value menu, selection of starters and typical mains which include various steaks, burgers and pastas with limited vegetrian options. Childrens catering seemed nonexistent but Henry's is more for the mature drinking age groups.

Food is better than expected, and more than generous, the classic fish and chips not fitting on the already large enough plate adding to the value. There is a wide range of cocktails, wines and sparking wines/champagnes here with your usual branded lagers on tap.

Service is very good, staff seemed happy to work here and could not be more helpful getting everything that we required. Unfazed the staff work rigorously serving the busy eatery.

Found this a great venue to meet and greet people and share a lunch or dinner with, it's not amazing but for what you pay for, it's damn good and would recommend more for small groups than dating couples.

I went to Henry's cafe/bar recently and one member of staff was so rude and sarcastic it ruined my day.
