Excellent food and excellent service. Very nice atmosphere. My husband and I took my Grandson to have a meal before a show last Friday, tonight I am going back with a friend as I enjoyed it so much, you must give it a try.

A look at the menu from outside looked promising. After terrible service, my pizza arrived. For an Italian restaurant, this was definitely very cheaply made with what I would only describe as the poorest quality of ingredients. Also £3 for a glass of what tasted like lidl's own brand carton orange juice, which by the way was not chilled, nor was ice provided.

The atmosphere was terrible, I have never been in a restaurant where the atmosphere was so dead, only thing that was missing was tumble weed.

The decor of the restaurant was also dated and the floor was also dirty.

Overall, the experience was terrible; food and atmosphere were both horrid, to put the cherry on the icing, I parted with around £40 for two, which is terribly expensive, compared to what I had received.

NEVER AGAIN!

I was at La Ballerina Restaurant last Saturday. (10.03.2012) The restaurant was very busy and we could only managed to find a seat for two. The service and the food they offer was very good and we enjoyed being there. I do not think the reviews written in here are actually right because I did not experience anything bad regarding the food, staff or what so ever. I just recommend everybody to be more realistic. I definetelly recommend this restaurant if you want to try real traditional Italian food.

I want to thank every body at La Ballerina who made the night extremelly special for us. Thanks guys.

Staff not attentive - would rather stand around and chat to each other. Furniture & Decorations worn and tired. Lacking any atmosphere. Food ok - though better trying Pizza Express or Zizzi next door. Warning - 15% tip included within the bill & staff extremely rude when I asked to leave a tip separately. Would not recommend!

Looking at the reviews a bit of a theme here, just returned from a trip to london, before leaving home on the 14th of Jan 2012 went to the La Ballerina on advice of owner, in short i had the sea food pasta it was ok but a little cold my wife however had the experiance from hell, her first meal, cod in tomato sauce and vegs was like a school dinner but much worst....cold! put back in the microwave but that just over cooked the fish! offered second meal, chose a simple pizza, that came raw in the middle on what looked like a nan bread mix. then the waitress asked if we wanted the sweet menu..not really ...without having a main, are they mad!.any way i don,t get ripped off or accept bad service so was only willing to pay what i thought the experience was worth..£10, as the wine was nice. the staff was very rude to us and told us to leave (they did not want the other customers to know you can actually complain!) on the way out we spoke to the owner only for the owners wife(maybe) to come out shouting ''shame on you'' to my wife! dead funny! with so many other eateries please avoid this one!

Given that the choice was limited I thought it may be because they did a few things, but did them really well. Unfortunately not. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, over crowded, more shabby than chic and the less said about the service the better. Disappointing.

Visited la Ballerina on 7th Oct 2011. La Ballerina had free tables on a Friday night which was a relief after wandering around Covent Garden looking for somewhere to eat. Having now been and eaten there it's not suprising that they had free tables - anyone with a reasonable palate who has visited this restaurant is unlikely to want to go again. The food was more like poor quality school dinners than Italian Cuisine and the waiters were unable to answer questions about the menu. When the food arrived, the vegetables were flacid and the chips, poor quality frozen chips. We parted with almost £300 of our money for a group of six (only two bottles of wine) We would have been better off waiting for a table at Zizzi or Pizza Express - never again. Only good thing about this place is the location - don't give them your money

As I stated in my comments on JFP's review, La Ballerina has always provided excellent food in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. I try to eat there whenever I visit London from Northumberland. I shall continue to do so and to confidently recommend La Ballerina to friends and family.

Avoid this place...like the plague.

It is truly awful. Very rude staff. The owner is even worse. They demand a tip, regardless of service quality.

They serve cheap tesco type frozen pizzas, cooked badly.

My tip to you La Ballerina... Give up. Shame on you.
