My goodness, after reading some of these negative reviews, I wondered if I ate in the same place yesterday. My husband and I ate a late lunch there yesterday and found it excellent; we plan to return. Although he's a London native and I've resided here for eight years, we'd not ever eaten there previously. However, the latkes we ate yesterday were excellent -- just what was needed. The service was excellent and fast, the food was well prepared and tasty, the prices were quite reasonable for the portions served. We will return.

After more than two weeks in London, at last, my first cup of really good coffee, one I could enjoy, and a lovely lemon tart. The girls were pleasant and attentive. An address to keep.

I used to work in Covent Garden and would walk by Maison Malinowski every day and think that that cakes in the window looked wonderful. So on a recent trip into town with my family we stopped in on a Sunday for a quick lunch.
After waiting and waiting for our food we asked one of the waitresses what the holdup was only to be told - theres nothing we can do, its the kitchen who are slow.
After 45 minutes the meals eventually turned up, overcooked.
Following an argument when paying the bill they grudgingly removed their service charge which is applied automatically and a further 5%.
I would never ever set foot inside that place again.

We made the mistake of trying this place for lunch amidst busy Covent Garden shopping. We quickly regretted this as the food (already overpriced) was very mediocre and - even more irritatingly - the service was terrible, if not downright rude.
Avoid at all cost.
