With out a doubt the best Chipy in the town! Great food, venues not ideal but its all worth ignoring! Trust me!

All the better now its non-smoking!

No Complaints, I've been a regular for the last 18 mnths and its def. worth the price, no other Chipy compares!

My one and only true Fish & Chips experience. I would have had it any other way. I made this a must on my trip to England, and it was the best fish & chips I think I will ever have had.

Having had some ok chip lunches from here before we had a very disppointing experience here the other night. After being seated and finally getting a member of staff's attention I was told that the rock I'd asked for would take 15 minutes so I should order something else. Antoher member of our party was told to "hurry up" ordering.

After the waiter had eventually taken our order we waited for about 40 minutes (evidently I should've ordered the rock anyway), and were treated very rudely when we asked how long the food was going to be. Eventually we got so frustrated and left. I'd also emphasise that this was at about half 9 and the place wasn't even that busy.

I wouldn't expect this kind of treatment in a local chippy and certainly not at £10 a head.

Won't be going back.

My Mum and I visited here before a visit to the theatre. The food was delicious, and the staff friendly - thoroughly recommended. The seating was a bit rough and ready, but that's perhaps to be expected from such an old restaurant.

The only thing to spoil the meal - through no fault of the restaurant's - was a thoroughly unpleasant, unhinged northerner sitting next to us, who became ruder and ruder to the staff, before finally walking out, effing and blinding at the top of his voice about the high prices and the appalling service - neither of which was true.

We were disappointed with this restaurant. Although we had booked, they were not expecting us and offered no apology for this. The tables were very cramped. The quality of food was inconsistent.

Brought here by a good friend of mine that lived in London some years go.

It's a long way from silver service, but the food cannot be beaten. The chips are chunky and not greasy and the fish is to die for. Come in small or large portions. The small is quite big, but get the large as the taste is so good you will want more.

Staff are friendly and the place is clean. It has a lovely outdoor seating area when the sun is shining to enjoy the food and people watch!

took my aunt and friend to this place on a random sunday evening. hole in the wall kind of place on a really quiet street. would recommend to anyone who wants a good fish n chips and friendly staff. they have at least 7 different options for their fish, bones or not, and the chips are amazing!

Excellant fish and chips, better than another restaurant at Edgware, London. Fresh and chips aren't greasy. Polite service and kids friendly. Eating outdoor is more fun and less noisy than the usual outdoor places elsewhere.

We've also experienced the occassional visitors to our tables (we were in a big group) for short friendly chats as well as those asking for the left-overs.

I took my niece to this place as she had read about it in her travel guide. It took us almost 30 minutes to get to the right place. But I have to say, it was quite worth the effort. The place, though small and a little cramped offers seating out in the sun which is situated on a nice street. The fish was a good large chunk of cod and fries were fresh and tasted home made. The people serving were pleasant and service was quite quick. We enjoyed the food and the place not to mention the aplenty tartar sauce. On the whole it was a very good experience.I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try good fish and chips at a reasonable cost in London. They also gave my niece a post card to remember them by.I thought that was sweet.
