I went there for the first time last night. I had a delicious lamb shank, decent sized helping, followed by a white chocolate panna cotta with passion fruit coulis. Don't be put off by the strange decor, the food is excellent and pretty good value. Waitresses were attentive and helpful.

Boombar - Excellent restaurant run by a fun, energetic team. There were 6 of us having dinner and their attentive style of service really complimented the great food. Recommended!

We used to like this restaurant but went there in Jan to celebrate hubby's birthday and were very disappointed.

We waited an hour for the first course, asked 3 times for fizzy water - eventually got a flask of tap water which was mysteriously removed later. The food was OK when it arrived but not as good as it used to be. The staff didn't understand what we wanted and tried to order the wrong things. The male waiter had appaling BO which put us off our food. It was too noisy we couldn't wait to get out - what a mistake - and it cost £85 - never again. I heard later that it had changed hands.

We have been to this restaurant several times, the food is always good and the service great.

Despite having loads of places to chose from in Crouch End, we often end up back here!

Try the antelope steaks.
