Aglio E Olio

I'm afraid I can't go as far as reviewing the food, as the waiter did everything so that we would leave as soon as we arrived. Having booked a table for 3 for a special occasion over the telephone, we arrived only to be scowled at by a grumpy waiter saying they're fully booked. That is despite me saying that I have made a prior reservation and the restaurant was still half-empty at this stage. The waiter grimmaced and offered us the smallest table (not even big enough to fit 3 plates on) by the door and asked if we were planning to stay long. We were completely taken aback by this entirely unprovoked rudeness. Having told him that this was rather disappoining given that we have made a reservation, he said he couldn't help us and that they were busy. All this whilst there were about 3 small parties at the restaurant. Needless to say, that we decided to leave the venue immediately and opted for a wonderful dinner at Sophie's Steakhouse down the road. I'm completely appalled and shocked by this behaviour and can safely say I will never return to this restaurant and will make it my business to deter everyone I know from going there. Appalling!

I have been coming to this restaurant on every visit to London over several years. I have visited alone and with companions of various ages. We all love this place! The food is delicious and authentic, the staff friendly and excentric, and the atmosphere is great. I recommend Aglio e Olio to all vistors to and residents of London. On top of this it is value for money!

very nice simple restaurant!

went there yesterday for a quick dinner with my sis!

took the aubergine with goat's cheese and my sis the fish with vegetables! both were very good! and in the end we had a complimentary little shot of jelly beans :) so nice of them! its a nice quick bite rest! not at all elegant and quite busy and quick! i prefer more elegant places but the food was very nice although not a big selection of pasta :(

We enjoyed a fantastic meal however we def got the feeling that we needed to be rushed through service and out the door so they could get the next lot of people seated. Food great / mgmt and staff attitude disappointing.

i really like the place for the food, especially the grill seafood plate that comes with a side of saute potatos and green veggies... really, very tasteful and fresh.. better i could not ask.. it's our local place where to can eat alone or with your family or with your friends, it is worthy !! and resonable priced ....

Went there last night and something was missing! think it was Renata! Service was awful! Nothing was the same! Adriano was grumpy and it was still a great meal but just not the same!

i'm Italian and here I found the typical italian dishes; they're great and you can ask GNOCCHI AL PESTO, PASTA AGLIO E OLIO and delicious appetisers and sweets.

Best Italian restaurant in London! Consistent, tasty, great value for money food! I have been eating there for over 8 years and never had a bad meal. When I read comments or reviews about the staff being anything less than friendly and professional, I know its their competition posting such nonsense. The staff are incredibly busy but equally friendly. Adriano and Renata are very special and always make their customers feel welcome and special!

Having eaten here for many years and on a very regular basis I have to disagree that the service is poor. The staff at this restaurant treat people like they are treated and do not bow down to customers just because they are paying the bill, I and many other regulars find this refreshing and part of the dining experience.

If you like great food and service from your peers and not staff who are fake then this has to be one of the best places in London.
