Triangle is indeed a gem of a place in a location you wouldnt expect it! Nestled in the depths of N4, down a side street on Ferne Park Road is this lovely restaurant.

I would like to describe the food as Arabic or perhaps Middle eastern but i ate Ostrich so not sure I can!

Anyway eat here- its fab

If you’re in need of a night out at a fabulous place with guaranteed fabulous food and atmosphere and lashings of individuality, you need to get to The Triangle. This popular little hideaway is an absolute gem of a restaurant that nestles snugly between Crouch End and Finsbury Park and the moment you walk through the door your every sense is stimulated. A unique and absolutely stunning bar/restaurant run by Aziz Begdouri, I had the pleasure of being introduced to the place 5 years ago, when it first opened, and, quite simply, I haven’t found better. The décor is warm, inviting, a seamless blend of art from all over the world, lush plants, fountains in the windows (yes, really), a roaring fire in the winter and in the summer a simply exquisite garden that features a kind of. …well, I don’t even know that there’s a word for it, you’ll just have to go and see for yourself. Oh, and did I mention the upside-down bedroom on the ceiling…?

many’s the night I’ve enjoyed at The Triangle, which draws a wonderfully eclectic and predominantly creative crowd who keep coming back for the intimate corners you can tuck yourself away in, including the popular Moroccan seating area, a little private enclave which usually needs to be booked in advance, but also the liveliness and buzzing atmosphere which prevails on Saturday nights when the most exceptionally talented and beautiful belly dancers entwine themselves around the restaurant.

I first stumbled across the Triangle by accident after having lived in Finsbury Park for 2 years, it is so out of the way and hidden. Having a look at the menu made my mouth water, although dubbed as north african morrocan etc it has food from just about everywhere in the world.

I have been there three times now and its perfect for almost every type of meal; romantic, family, friends etc I love it.

The food itself blew me away, tasty delicious and not too expensive, a definate find. I have had Kangaroo and Ostrich, both of which I highly recommend, de-lish!

The thing that really gets me going back though every time (as well as the food) is the amazing service, which is extremely friendly and efficient, not something you always find in London. A small tip though, dont pay the service charge because it does not go to the staff, just pay your food bill and leave a cash tip so the staff benefit.

All in all, a lovely restaurant and a definate asset in Finsbury Park.

I can consider myself lucky to live in the vicinity of the Triangle, the food is very good (although the quality seems to vary) and the interior and patio garden feel very cosy and welcoming. We always had very attentive and friendly waitresses looking after us, but, alas, our last visit was spoilt by a rather indifferent member of the staff who was looking after our table. There was no word of excuse or any explanation when our (very nice) food arrived almost an hour after we had ordered, and we generally were given the feeling of being a nuisance rather than costumers. Not sure what happened that evening, maybe it was the hot weather? I will go there again, but it's a shame that this happened in one of the friendliest places in this area.

Brilliant. I didn't expect this little out of the way place in Crouch end to amount to anythign much - but it is a little gem of an eating experience. The decor is unique. The restaurant has been recreated - upside down on the ceiling! The decor is slightly morroccan, and wonderfully eccentric and welcoming.

The menu is just the right length - long enough to spend time agonising over several tempting choices, short enough so that the kitchen can do each dish very well.

And indeed they do. The food was excellent; fresh and inventive. Highly recommend the scallops as a starter.

On top of all this this service was some of the best I have had recently (I see a negative comment from a previous poster - my only guess would be that perhaps their regular staff were out post world cup, or too distraught to be as outstanding as ususal!). Friendly, funny on the ball waiteresses who know the menu well - and were not afraid to check on some menu questions I had.

And the final touch I would not have expected: great cocktails. Actually, I can only speak for the pina colada, which was so good my male companion opted for one after tasting mine, banana leaf and all!

A hot evening of post world cup disappointment, we decided we needed cheering up. Sitting outdoors on the small terrace at the ******** seemed like the perfect option. Unfortunately it didn't quite live up to expectations. When we requested a wine bucket for the (not chilled) wine, it arrived only half full - in that heat it was going to take for ever to chill the whole bottle. Staff didn't seem to know what was on the menu & what was not available. The menu looked interesting but the food didn't quite hit the mark. Chicken salad was bland, although the squid was very tasty. The lamb burger arrived very pink & was duly sent back, only to return dry & overcooked, and plonked on top of a soggy baguette. A great setting, but the staff & food didn't quite match it.
