Extremely good value for money and very friendly staff. I have only had the 222 lunch buffet which has the most amazing carrot tofu dish and chickpea curry (along with a range of delicious salads) which is always fresh as the kitchen works hard to keep up with customer demand!

The desserts are also phenomenal, as a vegan good ice cream is hard to come by, 222 has a great range, my favourite the bueberrry is wonderful with one of their chocolate cakes. Also a yummy apple crumble and vanilla ice cream combo is amazing!!

We were here on Valentine’s night and had a very good meal. We shared several dishes including the bean burger, the spicy noodle dish, and the raclette which were all good and tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly although seemed a bit tired towards the end (although it was very late) and we had to wait a while to get their attention for the bill but overall they were good.

I think the location make this place seem more expensive than it actually is, if the same food and restaurant was based in Soho then it would come across as really good value.

I would consider going again if I was in the area.

I've just eaten in this restaurant after seeing headlines of other reviews, celebrating it as one of the top 10 veggie restaurants in London. Really?

As I'm from Brighton it's fair to say that I am a little spoilt by having the fabulous Terre a Terre on the doorstep. But even without that comparison, my meal was pretty tasteless, with slow service on top!

To start, I went for a simple warm pitta bread, with hummous, pimento and avocado dip trio. All three dips were very bland but I ate most of them because they took 30 mins to come to the table, only arriving after I reminded the waitress.

My main course then arrived before I had even finished the starter, about 5-10 mins after it was set in front of me. I went for the veggie burger and chips and whilst the burger itself was fairly moist and flavoursome, it came with a very dry bun, sawdust like in fact! The chips were also disappointing and appeared to have been fried just once and not very well at that!

All in all, a poor meal, wouldn't eat there or recommend it.

Made my way to North End road to find another restaurant..an Indian one, but decided that it looked a bit shabby and there were no diners (bad sign I would say). Wandered around and came upon this 222 restaurant. Had a lovely Carrot and Broccoli tart with sautéed potatoes. The ingredients were clearly fresh and it was quite tasty. I only had a main course, but accompanied with a glass of red...the bill came to £11.50 or so..quite cheap, and really worth it!

Have been here a couple of times now and was well worth the journeys (2 hours for the second visit!). It's a lovely place to spend a an hour or two over a really pleasant meal. An original menu - no tired 'classics' here. Somewhere to take a veggie friend or lover (or vice versa).

Also good organic wines and beers and good value too. 3 course meal for two with a bottle for us was well under £38 - this in Kensington... Lovely staff too. Present but not overbearing.

The chef/owner ocassionally wanders out to greet and get feedback. I'm going again soon..‎

In August 2009 my wife and I made a welcome return to this superb vegan cafe. Great range of flavoursome, colourful and imaginative dishes, freshly prepared and well presented in simple, comfortable surroundings. Everything is vegan, which gave us the opportunity to share the starters, mains and desserts, a rare treat indeed! We especially enjoyed the garlic bread, creamy mushroom soup, bean and tofu pancake, tomato, cucumber and organic tofu salad, 222 burger and the 222 pancake; ice cream wrapped in a wholemeal pancake with chocolate and vanilla sauce, delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed these vegan delights, friendly staff, good service, nice smoothies, beer and wines, an essential part of any London trip for lovers of wonderful food!

This is without doubt the best Veggie restaurant I have been to, and indeed a rarity as the entire menu is vegan. I went along recently with a friend, with limited expectations - what I found was a gem of a place for someone like me (a vegan with a very healthy appetite). Service was fast and friendly (admittedly the place was not too busy that evening), the restaurant itself is bright and pleasant, and the menu contains a good variety. The 4 dishes we ordered were all nicely presented, with quite generous portions, and VERY tasty. Prices were moderate (not cheap) and overall I think we got good value for money. They also do a take-away service, of which I think I may make good use in future.

Lunch for two = 2 x £7.50 for all you can eat + £10.50 (if you're not driving or insist on a Continental lifestyle) for a light dry organic white bordeaux.

Happy owner, dedicated to serving quality + happy staff = delicious wholesome food served in a bright white modern minimalist interior with lots of good vibrations.

Lunch is the value deal of the day, with just enough diners (including obvious 'regulars') to be comfortable so everyone has their 'space' , before the place becomes packed at night and a whollly different dining experience.

Easy walk from West Brompton.
