I normally don't write about service complaints (being an experienced server myself I know how hard it can be to please guests) but one of the waiters at this restaurant is a bit brash. Aside from that, perfection!

This quaint little restaurant deserves your service. Great, freshly prepared, delicious vegan food! I had the Seitan Cashew Cream Rice dish when i was there last and it was fabulous. Very creamy and luxurious! Also had the dessert crepe with vegan icecream and that was pleasant as well. The tofutti/cocktail sauce/etc Pitta Dips are AMAZING. God, I love those sauces.

Will definitely go here as long as I live in London . Healthy food, great ethics, wonderful cooking!

My vegan friend from New York was visiting and I had the responsibility of finding us somewhere decent to dine!

In all honesty, I was simply dreading an experience that was not only vegetarian, but vegan!!

HOWEVER, i was SO pleasantly surprised and impressed by the standard and tastiness of all 3 courses and i had to eat some humble pie that night, as well as a banana and walnut cake to die for AND pancake with vanilla icecream and cholocate sauce -- all incredibly vegan-friendly!!

wow!! may even convert after this experience!! :)

ps; if you go, you must order the pasta with wild mushrooms and cashew cream -- it's on another level!!

The BEST vegan food we have ever eaten. Absolutely amazing value for money and really delicous food. Ben even came and said hi himself! We will definitely be telling everyone we know to visit here. Try the vegan pancake with ice cream, vanilla and chocolate sauces; could not get enough of it! And only £3.70! This place is a saviour for us vegans who have been searching everywhere for a place that offers this much choice at such a high quality. Just go there; you will not be disappointed.

This is me and my boyfriend's absolute favourite restaurant in London... no, in the world! We've been lots of times now and the food is just as amazing with each visit! We always pack in at least 3 plates at the buffet lunch, it's such great value and so healthy and yummy. I've noticed it's been getting busier recently, people are obviously hearing about how great it is but I think there are also a lot of regulars to the restaurant.

The chef Ben is so friendly and chatty. He told us last time it really upsets him when he sees people going into fast food places. This is not much more expensive and you can eat way more and really healthily at the buffet!

We have yet to go for an evening meal but I'm sure the quality is just a fab. I was very excited to hear they do catering too... :)

Ben Asamani, chef at 222 Veggie Vegan in South West London, is an amazing cook & vegan ambassador! He converted me instantly. Who needs meat when the world has Ben?! Simply the best food in London, Gordon Ramsay eat your meaty heart out.

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant, while we were visiting England from USA. It was a wonderful experience from the start to the finish. I had the stroganoff with cashew cream sauce for the main course. My husband, who eats meat, had a pasta with mushrooms. We both loved the food and I was happy to see how much my husband liked his meal. Our waiter was very friendly, and very helpful to us.

When we were leaving they happily called a private car for us. While we waited outside a very kind genleman from Kenya waited with us. The ride back to our hotel was cheaper than the taxi we took to the restaurant.

We will always remember the wonderful food and service we experienced at this restaurant, and especially the kindeness of all the people who were working at the restaurant. It was a wonderful introduction to our visit to England.

I really can't rate this restaurant too highly! The food is varied and delicious, the atomosphere excellent, and at under six pounds per head for a scrumptious lunch with the option of seconds (which I eagerly took), it really cannot be faulted. As a vegan who enjoys flavoursome food I was in heaven

Eleven out of ten on all counts. I deeply regret that, living as I do in South East London I cannot visit 222 Veggie Vegan more often, indeed if I lived in Kensington, it would be really difficult to keep me away. I'm sure that every meal would be a unique culinary experience. I have yet to sample the evening menu, but I do not really see how it could possibly disappoint. Needless to say, I will be making a beeline for it in December to celebrate Christmas/Yule and my wedding anniversary.

I hope 222 goes from strength to strength and maybe considers eventually opening branches in other parts of London.

This restaurant is a gem.

Healthy, organic, wholemeal, vegan, food looks nice and tastes even better. Even my friends who eat meat love eating at this restaurant. The pasta with wild mushrooms is particularly remarkable (my god, the taste of the sauce finished with cashew nuts). Thumbs up.

My boyfriend and I have been eating here since it first opened. We have loved it from day 1, but were a bit scared that business was slow for them at first. Its not located in the best part of town, but the quality of food makes up for it. We have now moved and it takes us an hour to get there, but we still eat there once a week. Its our favourite restaurant (even though my boyfriend eats meat), the food is prepared with such care and the love of wholefoods is clearly evident with the chef Ben.

Nowadays if you want to be guaranteed to get in on friday or saturday night you need to book in. We were amazed at how many people were turned away last saturday night, compared to the early days when we were sometimes the only ones there..... Definitely give it a go...
