We frequent this restaurant and it is always excellent. Great starters, pastas, and pizzas. The focaccia is amazing and the mozzerella (whether it be in a starter or part of a larger dish) is super fresh with amazing flavor! Service is attentive and quick. The place is always full and we know lots of Italians who frequent the place. It's not very fancy, but for the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the reasonable prices it is our favourite local spot!

Go there quite regularly before going to see Chelsea at Stamford Brdige.

Food always excellent as is the very friendly service. It's just like being in a family restaurant in Italy itself.

Prices are superb value as well.

I often eat here. I went again last night and was again reminded how friendly the service is. Great food too. I am delighted that it is my local Italian.

Bad food alert!!

I have had better pasta out of a tin - I was of half a mind to ask if the sauce was Heinz. All the pasta is, obviously, dried and one thinks that the only reason to eat here is to save on the washing up as any pasta you cook yourself will be superior to anything that comes out of this kitchen. The pizzas are just bad - go to Strada or Pizza Express across the road. They may be chains, but their pizzas are better - you pays your money you takes your choice.

Service was totally indifferent (except if you are a regular) and surly. There are much, much better Italians in London that are cheaper and better.

We live nearby and this is our favourite standby local. You know exactly what you'll be getting when you walk in - a buzzy, lively atmosphere any night of the week, smiling, pretty waitresses who scamper about making sure everything is OK, and delicious, good value pizza and pasta. It's a great place and i'm pleased it's so popular.

I have been to pappardella several times always to watch italian football. The venue is full of italian at all times and it really feels to be in italy. The food is not great and you can end up spending £30 each for very poor quality antipasto, pizza and drinks. If you are thinking to go there for the food it's better you find yourself somewhere else to go. If you fancy watching italian football and eating a pizza surrounded by screaming italian football fans then it's the place for you.

Went to Pappardella last saturday, with friends who are regulars.

Might have just been a bad night, but the pizzas are very average - ingredients are bland, the dough lacks salt, and they are too hard crust, like if cooked in electric oven (mind you I didnt see a wood fire one either). Service is slow (took half an hour to pay the bill). TV is on at all times with no sound, radio plays 80s cheesy dancy music.

Limoncello was offered which was a nice touch, tough, and the bill was fairly cheap but didnt impress me at all. Wouldnt go back.
