I think this restaurant is great! My partner and I go there once every few months and we never leave there disappointed.
The £9.95 meal is awesome value and the food is very tasty! If quantity is more important then quality, then this isn't the place for you. But if you are after something that is good quality and you like leaving satisfied, then this is the place for you.

sad feel to this place. I agree with other reviewer (sausage and chips) a good curry would have been preferable to this sad location.
the man who is in charge, looks the sort who wouldnt listen to good critiscim. Should have read the other reviews on here.

I'm with the happy people on this one. Absolutely loved the place and the food was good too. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, very intimate. Can't believe the negative reviews on here but the restaurant's only small so you'd never get a seat if everyone liked it. Off there again tonight as it happens.

Mmm.. slightly disturbed by the too favorable reviews and comments by Mike Hayne down here. and reading the website a personal vendetta against some of the former clients who didnt seem to gush over the food? to quote your Shakespere in Macbeth 'perhaps the manager doth protest toooooooo much?!'
Food and service? well, there is a worse place to eat in SW5.

I had the pleasure of discovering this jewel a few weeks ago while visiting London. The whole experience from welcome to farewell was delightful. Not only was the meal I savoured exquisite but the service was superb. I have not shared my reviews of other restaurants publicly before, preferring to inform friends, relatives and colleagues. So, The Little French Restaurant has broken the mould for me and I find myself extolling the virtues of this charming restaurant in the hope that others will read this and visit to enjoy a true fragment of France in our fair capital.

Visited (at last) on 2009-Apr-18. After reeding some "reviews" here , I was even more ready to go. Remark: Weekend before we spent three days in France.
All in all : do not go there, RUN before someone else books!
What else to say? I usually dislike repeated restaurant visits, but you better believe me: I am now the regular in TFL.
So this is one table less available for you to book.

I'm surprised to see negative reviews about this place -- they must be from locals who want to keep this place all to themselves by driving others away! Either that, or a malicious restauranteer in the same area who wants to sabotage this restaurant's success? Cos honestly there's no explanation for why anyone would have had a bad time here.
This is truly a charming, wonderful restaurant, with great food at unbelievably low prices. The waitstaff are lovely too: unobtrusive yet friendly. An otherwise blah evening with friends was turned into a lovely night full of surprises as the food arrived, and we found that it was all delicious. Next time we don't feel like cooking, this is going to be our first choice for a lovely meal for under a tenner. Bring on the credit crunch!

The restaurant itself is very dark, too dark, even to be romantic.
The food was of an excellent quality(apart from the bread) and quantity.
But I must agree with other reviews about the staff. The staff are badly trained at serving and yes the "lady"manager obviously does not like her job(or if she does she hides or very well). This restaurant could be a gem, if the management were replaced and the staff properly trained.
I've even said that to the"manager/owner?but he just said "we don't care"
definitely a" flawed diamond".

Visited this place at the back of Earls Court after going to an exhibition. A bit dingy and the woman who is (?The Manager?) was fairly non-committal about customers. Would have liked to relax a bit more but felt rushed. My girlfriend said she thought the food fairly unadventurous but I didnt mind it. however not a patch on the Angus Steakhouse we went to the day before.
Didnt stay for a pudding or biscuits and coffee as they looked a bit sad, however if we are in London for the day and nowhere else open, it will at least fill a gap.
