Just returned from an excellent night at Strada in Earls court. The waitress quickly showed us to a table right by the frontage and we had a fantastic fresh breeze all night, perfect for a summer evening just to watch the hustle and bustle of london go by. The food was delcious and infalliable. The service was attentive, there when you needed it and invisible when you didnt. Overall a brilliant night, all four of us agreed. We will be going back! oh and perhaps I should mention that prices were very reasonable especially for London, Four of us managed to eat for 75 pounds which included a 'discretionary' 12.5% service charge.

A lot of italian restaurants at this price level could learn a lot from Strada. There aren't that many inconsistencies between branches (Carluccio's) and the food is on the whole very good (e.g. better than Zizzi). Nice ambience in this one; good location on corner of Old Brompton Rd. Free table water is excellent idea; pasta and the like quite authentic; pizzas excellent for the price. Service not too bad either. If you don't expect too much then you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Haven't been here in a long time and boy, I must be mad! We had whole prawns in a piquant tomato sauce to start with, accompanied by bruschetta served in a basket. After a quick dip in the finger bowl, mains was a battered & fried chicken breast for my partner and roast chicken with a funghi(mushroom) and cream sauce - heavenly!

Desserts were a tiramasui served with cream and I wish I'd saved a little more room for them!

Went for the house red, which was a delight, and you haven't tried anything as refreshing as the mineral water that gets its flavour from coconuts (apparently!)

Service was ok, but a little off towards the end. Def worth another look
