Awful. We were rushed from the moment we arrived - we had the 19.30 slot and were constantly reminded that we had to leave at 21.00 therefore not allowing us to enjoy our food at all. Having been bought up in Spain I can tell you that the food was terrible as well. Would never visit again and would not recommend it at all.

I've been toTendido Cero countless times over the last few years and it used to be my favourite restaurant in London in spite of the very greasy smell you end up with after having a meal there (particularly if you sit closer to the kitchen). Having said that I can't find words to express by how much the quality and size of the tapas' dishes deteriorated over the last few months. I don't know whether it is a combination of new cooks and cost savings but the quality has dropped considerably and the tapas portions are currently at ridiculous sizes. The croquetas de jamo are still very good but at half of the size they used to be.
All of the above can be said about Cambio de Tercio (Tendido's "premium" version which belongs to the same owner). Please do something about it otherwise you'll keep on loosing regular clients and not attract new ones !!!!!!

I was disappointed by this restaurant. While I realise that Spanish cuisine tends to rely on substantial amounts of oil to cook with, this food was almost nothing but oil and grease. Half the menu is fried or deep fried and the smell of cooking fat hangs thickly throughout the restaurant. I actually asked to be seated near the door rather than at the other end near the kitchen as I remembered the pungent odour from a previous visit. Unfortunately this did little to thwart the stench and I awoke the next morning to find my clothes and hair stinking of cooking oil. As for the tuna (one of the few dishes not to be fried) I hate to say it, but I have had better from a tin! By the end of dinner I had a horrible film of grease coating the inside of my mouth and a yearning for fresh air. Notwithstanding the genuinely attentive service and the fun buzzy atmosphere (though blighted by the oil stench) and having given this restaurant a second chance, I will not be returning and may even send them the dry cleaning bill for my clothes.

Authentic, excellent tapas, efficiently served (but it helps if you know your way round a tapas menu already or can speak Spanish). The wine list is good, but watch out; I asked for a wine recommendation. The waiter suggested something costing £115. Silly and annoying. The food bill can really mount up too, this isn't a cheap place to eat out at.

Tendido Cero is one of my favourite restaurants in London and I frequent it often. The food is scrumptious and never disappoints. My only caveat is that the place can get warm and a bit smoky, so try to sit way from the kitchen. Remember to bring cash and your own wine.
