I have been coming here for the last five years and it is great to see people still know me. I use to work round the corner from here so it was always my local watering hole. I still believe you get the best burger and milkshake in town. The good thing about this diner is you can get a decent drink; special beers and great cocktails. I will definately be back soon.

Went to the Eagle Bar for my birthday on a Friday night with 10 people. The atmosphere in the bar was good, and £3.80 for a pint of Bud was not extortionate considering the part of town we were in.

They accommodated the large group well, and the staff waiting our table were friendly. However, despite this don't expect to be served in hurry. We had to wait about an hour for our food to turn up after ordering and some of the drinks that were ordered never turned up at all.

When the food did turn up, which was very reasonably priced, it seemed to appear in stages. The burger I ate was very nice, and everyone seemed to share my opinion of their main dish. Especially as it cost less than a tenner. However, my side dishes, when they eventually made an appearance were cold and bland.

Desert, in the form of a chocolate brownie and ice-cream, was a good choice, and the staff even sang happy birthday!

In short I think this is a place to come to drink rather than eat. The cocktails are good and the atmosphere spot on. However, with the venue being rather small, trying to have a conversation around the table with the loud music and general noise at the bar is quite an effort.

I would not come here again for dinner, but would consider visiting for cocktails or maybe lunch if I had a whole day to waste!

Nice bar but not so hot as a restaurant. The burgers and fries were pretty disappointing for somewhere calling itself a diner. Nice milkshakes though.

Went to the Eagle Bar Diner on my birthday.

Food was really nice - I had a turkey burger, most of my group had beef burgers and they all enjoyed them immensley. Chips were extra on the side but were massive portions - I recommend sharing with a friend!

Good cocktails but rather expensive.

Service was good, there was a large group of us and the waiter/waitresses were attentive and polite. I will be coming back if I'm in the area.

Not too sure about all the negative reviews... I've been to Eagle Diner maybe 10 times in the last 2 years and have not been disappointed. It's obviously not haute cuisine but I challenge you to find a better burger in London. The meat is very tasty, burgers cooked to demand and the selection is pretty wide.

Can't say I've ever had any issues with the service - on one occasion they overcooked my burger, and undercooked my date's but were happy to replace them.

I thoroughly recommend this place as one of the few around Soho / Oxford street where you won't be ripped off, taken for a ride and fed old roadkill.

Don't go into this place with high service expectations and plus... "it's a DINER", in saying that if the staff could learn to smile it would sweeten the experience a bit... The food and drinks are worth the visit though. Great burgers and very good cocktails. A cool place to hang out, escape the street crowds and chill with loungy tunes in the background.

I went to take girl here on a date, big mistake - as having spent £50 on champagne and cocktails, the manager came over to make sure we had paid, and then after I'd tipped the bar staff and thanked them on the way out, the manager came out after me and stopped me from leaving saying that I hadn't paid for the champagne. He behaved very rudely;it should have been obvious to anyone with a girl waiting outside I was hardly going to run off without paying and he hadn't checked with the other waiters before challenging me for a second time.

A group of 11 of us went on Saturday night and I was really pleased - lovely cocktails and a huge range too, and the food was great, really tasty burgers cooked exactly as requested. Service a bit haphazard (sometimes quick, slow to get the bill) but overall I'd definitely recommend it.

I have not tried the food yet, but the milkshakes are heaven! Introduced it to a friend last week and he was impressed with his chocolate and mint milkshake and the cosy atmosphere. All in all it is a nice diner/bar to grab a quick drink.

This place is awful. I mean, really bad

It took 15mins to be served, 20mins for our drinks to arrive, and the breakfasts were cold and undercooked

Christ knows how they get away with it.
