Couldn't agree more with the previous comments. I have been giong to this place for the last 10 years and it has stayed true to quality food, family atmosphere and great prices throughout.
The home-made desserts are particularly delicious - ask for tiramisu, if they have it. The owners make every guest feel part of the family and everyone's welcome to take part in loud conversations or can just discreetly sit in a corner and enjoy a caraffe of wine with their pasta.
A real Fitzrovian treasure!

Excellent little restaurant in the heart of fashionable Fitzrovia. The food is delicious, home-made, and amazing value for money. The atmosphere is quirky and has a real Italian feel. Highly recommended!

Excellent value for money. The calzone is fantastic, make sure you ask for it with chilli. It was my favourite lunch time eatery until I changed jobs and moved to another area. Looks like nothing much from the outside, but the food will get you past that. It is a tiny place so get there early for lunch:-)

Hidden away in a little quiet street just a stone's throw from the elegant Fitzrovia Square, is The Fitzrovia Restaurant. It is a small cosy and homely place that seems so far away from the brash, glitzy modern styles just a few roads away on Goodge Street and Wardour Street.
The service is very friendly. You feel like family. However, the staff are discreet enough to leave you alone if you are meeting an illicit liaison!
If there is a better Calzone, and at better value in London, let me know. Any disappointments? Well, yes, one. Ordering a pancake and ice cream, we received a cold, home made, but refrigerated pan cake with ice cream. It was delicious, but we had expected a freshly cooked hot one!
