La Cavalleria Rusticana

A group of four of us ate here recently on a Saturday night, escaping from the madness of over-subscribed Soho to this quiet Bloomsbury back street. The meal turned out well, with friendly service and tasty food, and a very presentable two bottles of house red all coming in at £25/head. Only slight gripe was the slightly small portion size, but I will be going back to give this place another go soon.

Hmmm. Not a bad place. However, there was a rather long wait for our food and it was difficult to tell whether the starter was supposed to be hot or cold when it arrived (It was a stuffed mushroom which appeared to have been fried as some stage, the topping was lukewarm & stone cold in some places). The main course was pretty good though.
