This restaurant is getting really popular in South Woodford, the food is excellent. I have been there for lunch and dinner and love their Sunday Lunch too, it's great value for money. I always take friends who visit me there and recommend the scallops! They also always have a great rissotto on the menu. The Manager was telling me that the menu is overseen by a top London chef which is no surprise as I am never disppointed and love to go in there when the menu changes each season.

Excellent full English breakfast! Very friendly and efficient. Good quality ingredients and good value for money, often go with the whole family for a Sunday lazy breakfast - never dissappointed.

My husband works just down the road so we've eaten here on his lunch break several times. Whenever there is a new person at his work, he recommends this place. It's a favourite.

From bangers and mash, to creamy risotto, to tender pork, it's all good here! And I highly suggest you try something off the dessert menu (a warm chocolate brownie a la mode is always a good way to end a meal).

Service has been less than stellar in the past but that's atypical. Overall I say that Parade is excellent value for money

My first visit to Gastro Parade was on a friday night at the beginning of May 2006. We arrived at 9pm and got a table immediately. The staff were very prompt if a little lacking in knowledge of the details of the food on the menu. The wine selection was good and the Shiraz we had was at a good temperature. Also resonably priced. I opted for king prawns to start. They were cooked well but the chilli suace accompaniment (out of a bottle) let the dish down! My Nicoise salad was surpringly filling but the stones in the olives were off putting. Both dishes were value for money.

The only disappointing aspect to the restaurant was that it remains a bar all evening. Therefore, when boozy punters leave the pub opposite, they roll into Gastro Parade and sit amongst those who are eating. Maybe it would be better if the building was sectioned off for eaters and drinkers!

We visited this restauarant for the first time and were very impressed. Vibrant atmosphere, friendly and polite staff and varied menu.

The food was excellent, the only down side being we ordered bread and olives, which we had to remind staff for twice, and they eventually turned up with the starters. We put this down to the staff being really busy - they were advertising for more.

We would definitely go back.

The Beat the Clock menu is great value, I really recommend their juicy home-made burger, much better than any other burgers I have tried elsewhere. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience on both occasions.

We booked this restaurant for a special occasion but unfortunately, we will not be going again due to the qulaity of food and the lack of service we received. One of us had the lamb and it was a leg of pure fat, when they offered to cook another one we were told it would take approx 12minutes, however, 30minutes later we had to remind them that we were waiting for a replacement meal and they hadn't even started cooking it! Another of us had the chicken and this was stone cold. The scollops were over cooked and basically for what we got, the food was definitely overpriced. The management did try to apologise but then they tried to charge us full price including the meal we didn't even get, the forgotten Lamb! We did sit by the door unfortunately and as mentioned in other reviews, DON'T DO IT!

Been to this restaurant a couple of times, ver convenient as i live down the road. Food is always excellent have not had a bad meal once, my partner had the lamb last time we went which was superb!!

Atmosphere very relaxed staff friendly and attentive although i advise that you book before you go as the restaurant is becoming more and more popular. Only complaint is that last time we sat near the door which means it can get very cold with all the people that are coming in and out, otherwise i love it in there and in fact am going again tonight!
