Common Ground Cafe Bar

Thank goodness this is my local café. It is head and shoulders above the other cafes of this type we visited in South London. We have visited on 3 different occasions over the last 2 weeks and have nothing but praise. The children enjoyed and actually finished their meals and our lunches were also tasty and fresh (we had the daily special of salad together with a slice of feta, courgette and mint tart). The coffees, cakes and ice creams were also delicious. Service was efficient and they also have a useful separate take away facility on the Sunday that we only wanted drinks and ice creams to complement our picnic.
The only problem, as I see it, is that it does get very busy on sunny days but not too sure you can do anything about its popularity.

VERY EXPENSIVE!!! They have put there prices up again, £6.95 for a sandwich! I went there a few days ago I ordered a children's meal and got 2 fish finger 's about 5 chips and 2 tiny pieces of broccoli, no drink or pudding included for £4.50! Any other cafe/restaurant and you would get a drink included and a pudding. What a rip off, they obviously think everyone who dines there is loaded and have got money to burn. The waitresses are miserable as well. Please boycott this place!!

Ate there recently, its a great location and easy with young children. I found the the food good value except for cakes and biscuits, which are very expensive!
would recommend it as a lovely time out.

This is a great spot for a cafe. It's a busy little place, but it could be a lot better. I was served by a miserable Polish girl who obviously didn't want to be there. I had a tart and a salad. the pastry was raw on the tart. It's a shame that a cafe in such a great location can't be managed properly.

When i moved to Wandsworth 18 years ago the common had no Cafe or refreshment
catering at all and once common ground was newly opened my friends and i started meeting there and taking the children there, they love it and like to play and run around on the grass while i talk with my friends!

I simply adore this place since discovering it over the summer. Great if you have kids as plenty of room, a healthy childrens menu and things for the kids to do during the week. Lovely

Had lunch there twice last week with my 2 girls as was half term.
Its a great local spot and quality and freshness of food is spot on.
I had a hot sandwich with fresh salad both days (good value for size of portion at £6.95) and girls had pasta one day and chicken goujons the next day and all 3 of us ate everything.
Coffee and cake afterwards was heavenly if not very good for my figure.....

We highly recommend it to all our friends

Had a great breakfast at Common Ground on sunday morning.
Full English and Pancakes with berries and yoghurt were both very good.
Great spot for breakfast - we sat inside where it was nicely buzzing but with great views across common
