Singapore Chinese Restaurant

not sure what the issue was with the previous comments that I have read on this site. I was very suprised to see these negative comments...anyway..here's what I had last night and we certainly enjoyed the food.

our party of 5 had three very interesting Singaporean dishes which we all loved very much. Chicken Rice, Laksa and some thing else which i cant remember the name of.

I didnt realise that they do take-away and I might just keep ordering it for me and my wife as we like Chinese food with a bit more spice in it. Then again my wife is Malaysian and i suppose my taste buds are more used to spicey dishes.

could do with more music though !

Hey can I say the food in this place is like rubbish!!! Ordered one laksa, and it tastes like flavouless and with very little meat!

If you have to find one more thing which is poorer than its food, that will be the service. Waiters and waitresses seem not attentive at all and they dont even smile for one second! I feel like I'm asking them hard to do me a favour when i was eating. though the service is also bad, they charge you 12.5% service charge and this is ridiculous!

Avoid this restaurant at all costs mate!

Do not order take away from this restaurant! We ordered take away at 7.30pm and are still waiting for it 2.5 hrs later, despite living less than a 5 min drive from the restaurant. We called after 1.5hrs to check on the order and were told the driver was on his way with 2 other orders. At 2 hours we were told it was still on it's way - presumably extremely cold. When we said we weren't prepared to pay for cold food which we would eat at 10pm we were offered 20% off our next order. When we asked for at least 20% off the current cold late order, we were told it was not possible. Obviously there won't be a next time. I can't comment on the quality of the food as we still haven't received it.

I cannot rate this restaurant low enough. We had a take away from there and firstly, they told us on the phone that the bill was £20 less than what they charged us. This made the take away ridiculously expensive and the quality of food was extremely poor. The food was flavourless, the chicken was bony and fatty, not much meat and the sauce tasted like it was made out of an oxo cube. The vegetable spring rolls had only bean sprouts in them and an occasional shaving of carrot. Even if chilli sauce did not have flavour. The only good thing was prawn crackers and they were free. Oh, and the driver let us off 30p.
