Akash Tandoori (Hammersmith)

Was clearly good at one time judging by Fay Maschler review and plaques on wall - so what happened? Decor not touched in a few years and rather grubby (as were menus -yuk) and food so disappointing. Possibly the worst Indian meal I have had in a very long time. The chicken in the biryani was full of bones and so hard that it took sawing hard with a knife to cut through, the lamb fatty and cheap looking. Just not nice. We left most of it and departed.

Maybe at one time the food was good, but now what can i say? bad is an understatement, the manager was rude, the food mediocre, the de core out of date , no wonder it was empty the last three times I went on a Saturday night. the only reason was because everyone else was closed.

I have been there several times during the last year and I was never disappointed. Excellent, high quality food, very friendly atmosphere, good service. Highly to recommend!

Never eaten in but had take away from Akash many many a time. Its always excellent. Must visit soon, keep up the excellent work gentlemen :)
