Akash Tandoori (Northcote Rd)

I went yesterday (2nd December 2011) I thought the service was great and I had the best Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi that I have ever had. Perfectly spiced with a beautiful barbequed flavour. Rounded off with a couple of kingfisher beers and the receipt delivered with After Eights always bring a smile to my face. I will be going back.

Brilliant food, great variety on the menu and arguably the best value vs quality for food and service in the London area. If you haven't tried this place or have been disappointed by other similar restaurants in the area they give this place a go.

We went here last night, and although the food was pretty good and portion sizes very generous, the service was very disappointing. We felt like we were in a cattle market, fed as quickly as possible then handed the bill. What was most disturbing was the fact they add on nearly 20% service charge which was far from deserved. Sadly, we won't be going back.

Our favourite take away curry in the area. We are VERY regular customers and the kids totally adore the food.

I've never eaten in, but have been enjoying a take away from Akash for the last 10 years.

Probably one of the best curry houses in London... the food is always great, its not too expensive and the staff are very nice. Their Chik tik mas is one of the best I have have in london. A friend and colleague, Mifol, who is from India said the food would not be out of place in his home land.

I've lived on or off Northcote Road for 4 years and this place is de rigeur for slightly drunken late night indian food. The food is good without being great but then it is relatively cheap. Sometimes I wish there was more chicken in the Tikka Massala but you can't fault this place. The staff are great, the food is good and it's open late.
