Pappa e Ciccia

Decided on organising a dinner out with a few friends to Pappa Ciccio as we saw the really good reviews on the web pasta was particularly beautiful, al dente, the way it should be. Tiramisu was huge and rather rich but appropiately. Service was attentive but not pushy and we able to have a private conversation without fear of eavedropping. Would recommend this establishment to aficionados of Italian food.

Stopped by yesterday (Sunday) for pizza. Delicious as always, we had a garlic bread starter with tomato and Al Crudo to share. Crispy base and freshly prepared toppings. Lunch for two with soft drinks and coffees under £20. Excellent value. The best pizza in town (certainly for this price!).

Had a disappointing meal at the weekend at a place I really like. Popped in for some cheap and cheerful comfort food. Still cozy and fun but the previously drinkable house wine was foul and my lasagne was microwaved muck. When asked about this the staff told me it freshly prepared every day just heated in the microwave. After a 10 minute nuke could have been a Tesco ready meal. On the plus side my wife's pizza was good and the service was good, they did offer to replace my food. Previously they also provided bread and oil while you waited but alas no more. Possibly another restaurant that a victim of it's own success or maybe it's just focussing on the take away trade. Won't be back.

High quality, good value real Italian food. The restaurant is a bit cramped and tends to get very noisy at weekends when large parties are dining. Great pizzas, anti-pasto and good value wines.

This restaurant has been my favourite for years and is a real gem! The food is amazing - fresh Italian food, great for salads too and good value. The only problem is that they are only in Putney and Fulham...although their main business is takeaway...!

Well when it comes to finding a treasure, this certainly was one! I have never been so impressed with a restaurant in london. The service, the food, the atmosphere were all of high standard. This restaurant is small, cosy, ideal for a quiet romantic dinner and truly carries on the spirit of Italy's good cooking heritage.
