La Piccola

I like this pizzeria. The italian owner, signor Pino, is very friendly and welcoming. I had pizza there many times and it was ok. TFor those you live in the area the take away service is very efficient.. . I have not tried other meals so I don't know... I always find very difficult to have good italian food outside Italy

This restaurant is personable and great italian food. Cooked and served by the owner, Pinot, who knows all his regulars by name and interests. I have been coming for over two years now and all my friends fall in love with the place. Definately a place to come if you fancy a nice, personal service with great food. And say hi to Pinot!

Read all the good reviews about this Restaurant so thought I would try it with 6 friends.

Service was rushed and not very helpful, only 4 others in seated 2 where already eating.

Try'd Calarmari for starters I had one bite and could not eat the rest, not very fresh and seemed to be microwaved, yuk.

The rest had garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread for starters, it wasn't very galicy and the bottom was burnt.

My friends had pasta which looked like something you would make at home (canned tomatoes where used) it was dumped in front of them it looked like the pasta had not been drained sufficently as there was a lot of liquid on the plate.

I try'd the calcone it was not cooked properly inside had no taste and presentation was standard.

We were not looking for gourmet but for the prices they ask we though it would be good quality.

Sorry I rated this restaurant and service very poor.

Found this place by accident a few years ago, but the good food and service have just kept me coming back, even after I moved across the other side of London.

I love food, but don't profess to know much about it. Top London restaurants can be daunting and expensive. But this is a no frills nice local italian where the starters, pastas and desserts are great, with reasonably priced wine too! Perfect for a romantic dinner where you just want good food, good prices and no pretentiousness. Simple but delicious.

A local institution. Get to know the menu and the staff and you'll do well to find a better local restaurant. Excellent value for money on the main menu. Specials are a bit more, but worth it if you fancy a change. Bacon & radicchio starter and penne salsciccia main highly recommended. Don't come here expecting a fancy experience. Do come if you fancy good, local, honest dining.

The service was very rushed, even though we were the only people in the "restaurant" (which was more like a cafe if we were perfectly honest)! We had booked the meal as a New Years meal after seeing the previous recommendation which was glowing. The food was thrown at us, we had only just finished our starter when the main course arrived. The owner and waitress stood watching as we ate our food. Very uncomfortable atmosphere, will certainly not return there! Really not a good start to our New Year's Eve celebrations!
