1st time back sine 2005 and as impressed as the last time.

Walked in and got a table - early Tuesday evening - and the menu whilst changed was just as good, service just as good and even felt less stuffy.

I'd recommend to all and will return in 2009!!

A lovely restaurant, great ambience, nice atmostphere. Great for an intimate dinner. We dined here whilst staying at the Hilton and had a wonderful time, the staff were friendly and polite and the food was high quality.

Four of us went on Friday night, around £40 each with no wine & dessert.

Yes, it may be good if went with special offers/ vouchers but not for the full price.

Totally agreed with one of the reviewer, heavy on the salt. Service is alright but two of us waited 5 minutes for our starters after the other two starter arrived.

We also went last night with the Times Offer. Not sure why the previous reviewer found seating behind a pillar bad. There's pillars all around the room and they dont gave us a feeling of being 'cast out'. The service was very attentive, from the cloakroom assistant who dealt swiftly with our chunky bike jackets and helmets, to the waitresses. The restaurant was half full, the music soft and jazzy and pleasant. We chose mussels and tomato and anchovies tart for starters and they were both tasty. As mains my husband went for the beef featherblade which was well cooked, tender, and well presented. I chose a delicious pork loin with mash and vegetables. We shared a profiterole dessert, again, very nice and not heavy at all. We were happy and would go again, although the 'normal' menu is on the pricey side, we ended up paying a very reasonable £32 inc. service.

I recently went to Homage with my boyfriend on a saturday evening to take advantage of the Times Dine with Wine offer. I wonder whether my experience of this restaurant would have been different had I gone as a 'regular punter'. The restaurant was very attractive but strangely dead for a weekend, despite this, we were placed in the corner behind a pillar, like second class citizens. Sadly, we stayed no longer than an hour, as we felt rushed by the poor, haughty service we received. The food was good, i had mussels to start and braised 'featherblade' of beef, but we felt no inclination whatsoever to buy more than the prerequisit 2 courses and glasses of wine dictated by the offer - very unusual for my rather extravagent boyfriend!

Visited on a Thursday night with clients - 5 builders!!. And we got the feeling we weren't quite the normal clientelle.

However whilst the atmosphere seemed a bit stuffy, the service was prompt and attentive even if the waiter seemed to be looking down his nose at us.

Now the food, SUPERB, cold soup was cold, raw beef was raw, Lamb was pink and tender, Fish was perfect. No complaints. Wine decently priced and the final bill?

2 courses, round of drinks, 2 bottles of wine and service charge.

Change from £200.00. Esxcellent.

Would go again with the wife but probably not with business.

I went here with my girlfriend and some Times Dine With Wine vouchers clutched eagerly in my hand, and have to say that Homage was a fantastic night out. Quite frankly I'm amazed at the quality of food considering I only paid £10 for 2 courses and a glass of very nice wine with the Times deal. The decor was stunning, with waiters and waitresses who really understood the value of good service. We both had steak for main course, which was very tasty, and a delicious dessert. I can imagine that the standard menu might be quite pricey, but with the Times deal it was simply the best £10 I've ever spent! Will definitely go again.

Went here the other night, had a wonderful time. Gets top marks on all points.

I recently dined at another one of London’s tops restaurants, Maggiorries, and I have to say this place beats it hands down in all departments. The food was wonderful, well presented, and really generous portions. Me and my girlfriend both couldn’t finish ours, which is saying something considering how nice it was, and our appetites!

I had, parma ham starter, my partner had mussels, both were great. For main I had the duck, on a bed of beans which was very generous and well flavoured. My partner had the beef, she got 2 very large pieces of top quality tender meat, which would have challenged even the most veracious of appetites.

The staff were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The surroundings were beautiful, if not a little empty (don’t know why!). And with the Times meal deal that they are doing at the moment, fantastic value for money.

Highly recommended.

We visited this restaurant with 'The Times, Dine with Wine' offer. This was the first time that we had been to an upmarket restaurant and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. The food was sensational and the service was superb. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome which added to the whole experience.

We shall definitely visit again.
