Food was ok but we had to wait for hours to have our meals served. We sat down at 900 and got up at 1130 pm (2 course meal!).
The place is really small.

We went after the theatre (it's only a couple of minutes from the Orange Tree) and had a delicious meal - just main courses, with generous portions. The cassoulet was excellent and the pork belly good. A friendly place we've been going to every so often for many years.

went to Restaurant 109 last Thursday for the first time. It is a cosy resturant, with nice vibrant artwork, and we were made to feel very welcome by the waitresses. I had the fish cake, which was the best I've had - followed by a great rib eye steak. My wife had the crab tower and the cassoulet - which we both agreed was lovely!
The bill was better than expected for Richmond.
Only negative is it's location but it's worth the 5 minute walk from the train station. Will definately be back!

Went for Sunday lunch and yes it’s cheap (if you have the set menu) but this is at best average café level food. So if you want quick homecooked style food then you won’t be disappointed, however if you are expecting restaurant style and quality then you will be.
Service is pleasant enough but Rod Stewart on continuous play with accompanying sing along from one of the staff is neither professional nor entirely pleasant (and I am not adverse to RS!).

Visited on Sunday after the glowing reviews on here. Staff extremely welcoming and we loved viewing all the artwork for sale on the walls. Had the set menu and whilst it was nice it just wasn't quite as good as we were expecting. We had the Sunday roast and were disappointed that the potatoes weren't freshly made but the frozen type. That said it was a pleasant experience overall.

Very homely restaurant, nice service, decent food. We can see the owners have tried their best to run a good restaurant, although with limited budget.
