We went there on a special occasion to fulfill the sadness of realizing that one of us was going to turn thirty. We had tried Lebanese food in many other occasions and we had nice expectations, though some reviews on this website were not very generous.
The atmosphere was warm and the forniture was accurately selected, so that to transport you for a while in a typical Middle Eastern ambience. The only complaint is that the main room is not really big and tables are placed next to each others and next to the entrance as well. However, this can contribute to create even a warmer enviroment when the place is plenty of people, and belly dancers are performing around.
The only waiter scheduled that night was friendly and kind.
The menu is not rich, and counts few platters and meze, but food is delicious and tasty. The vegetarian platter was surprisingly big and other portions were reasonable. All we can say about prices is that we found them widely appropriate.
In conclusion, we recommend this place, especially if you are planning a night in Central London, as the location is awesome!

Last Friday, I celebrated my 24th birthday at Kaslik to highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wishes to engulf themselves into the mystique of Lebanon and its culture. The manager at Kaslik has the most congenial nature while maintaining the upmost professionalism. To discover the restaurant, Kaslik is comparable to finding an oasis in the desert with the location in Soho ideal for any persons seeking to enjoy authentic Lebanese food amid the expensive and competitive business of North African cuisines in central London. My private birthday party was held below the main dining area in the basement which is decorated in the design of an Arabian tent palace replete with cushions and stools for added comfort and effect.
The belly dancer requested for my party surely transfixed all guests with her performance to ask me – ‘the birthday girl’ to join her where I attempted to showcase my own original moves until I gave her the center stage again. Neither I nor my any of my party guests had any complaints with the reasonable prices (22 GBP set menu price), clean venue including restrooms and pleasant staff exceeding all of our desired needs. One of my friends commented, “This has been the best birthday party I have attended all year” – I know this compliment was greatly enhanced by the services rendered at Kaslik. Overall, the atmosphere of Kaslik provides all visitors or frequent customers a memorable experience whether it is lunch before heading back to work or hosting your 24th birthday party.

I attended this restaurant for my friend’s hen night in April 2010. I had read some bad reviews but on visiting the restaurant decided to try it. We used the down stairs room which smelt a little off putting when visited. On the night it did not smell as bad. The service was quick and the manager was great. The food was excellent and more than enough for our group. The pictures in the down stairs room was perfect and parking was good was it was near soho square. The group meal also included after dinner tea which was nice. Since then a few members of the group have been back to the restaurant. It is very much recommended.

Close and comfortable atmosphere. Vacant looking staff. While there was a belly dancer, she took attention away from the fact that the chefs are unable to cook. The food was bland, lacking in flavor and overpriced for the size. Lamb "Shawarma" @ kaslik = spiced lamb that's been deep fried to hell and back. There is no grill in the back for the shish / kofte kabobs. Food was hardly authentic and lacking that oomph that Lebanese food can be known for. Cold falafel was on par with the cold service.

I am sorry the previous reviewer had such a poor experience on what was obviously a bad day, but don't let the experience put you off. I have been there twice and both times the service was unfailingly polite - it is a busy little restaurant with a great deal of cooking being achieved in a small space (dozens of mezze dishes as well as a good selection of mains) so I can understand the occasional off day and it doesn't excuse the treatment of the other reviewer, but PLEASE do try this restaurant, The atmosphere is lovely, the ambience is perfect and the food is absolutely delicious and the wine....have you tried lebanese wine? Delcicious and world class - it's a travesty that it is not more widely recognised over here. A little jewel in Greek sttreet - give it a try!

I went to Kaslik for my 21st birthday with a group of friends and it was the most unbelievably disappointing restaurant experience of my life. I had booked 3 weeks in advance. First of all I found out that I couldn't have the area I originally wanted then later on they told me that I couldn't even have the time I'd booked originally which was 9pm and moved us to 8.30pm. This was a bit disappointing but I didn't take it badly. I'd called several times to confirm and had even gone there in person to make sure everything was ok. On the night my friends and I arrived on time and were told by an extremely rude manager that he had tried to call me all day, and when I told him I had not received any calls, he realized that a member of his staff had written down a wrong number. So because he hadn't got through to me, he had simply double booked. I was in great distress as I knew that we were not going to find anywhere else on friday night for such a large group. The manager knew this all too well and wasn't in the least apologetic about the situation and refused to admit that he had done something completely unacceptable. When I told him that he needs to come up with a better solution than just make us wait (outside) his answer was well I can just tell you to go somewhere else. He then told us to leave the restaurant as we were blocking up the space and promised to call in half an hour by the time he said he would have cleared a table. He never called, so I went to see what was happening, he again with an extremely rude attitude just said we need to wait more. He ended up making us wait for an hour and a half!! And even then not everyone could be properly seated. He did not once make an apology or offer any compensation. When we eventually sat down to eat, he completely abandoned our table leaving it up to one waiter to single handedly serve a table of 15 people. I have never been subjected to such poor service in my life and the manager does not deserve his job.

We wanted a simple dinner on the way to the theatre. It turned out to be truly excellent. Seasonal mezze, excellent wine and really good value for money. All dishes tasted fresh. We were a bit taken aback by the waiter, but he turned out to be very kind and helpful.
