Shikara offers fabulous food in very luxury surroundings, very gentle relaxing ambience. Food tasted fresh and authentic.Service was impeccable throughout. I would recommend it for people going on first date.

Had a large party dinner at Shikara 2 nights ago. There were 14 of us.

I was disapointed with the speed at which the food came out. It took over an hour before the starters arrived after the pop-a-doms. We had to complain and it seemed to improve after that. The waiters were always friendly though.

The restuarant definately has a "posh" feel to it and I did miss the dodgy picutres and jangly music but I knew what to expect from pictures on the website.

Having said all that I have to say it was probably the best curry i've ever had (and i've had plenty). I recommed the calamari starter and KP Karahi for mains, delicious.

This must be one of the most boring places to dine out in London. Thank you all reviewers that has given this a 10 for atmosphere. In our view there were none. On a Friday night the restaurant was half full (or half empty) with guests mumbling at the tables, the interior can't be memorised even if our visit only was days ago and the staff were polite but nothing more.

The food was OK, as you should exoect in any decent traditional Indian restaurant.

This place may be OK for people living nearby with no expectations other than having a simple dinner. If you want atmosphere, go anywhere else.

The price was certainly right, but we were disappointed with the food. All three of our dishes were sweet. Yes, sweet. We were hoping for a little spice, but we didn't get any. Additionally, they were drenched in ghee. We ordered take out and the whole operation went smoothly, we just wish that our food had been better.

I am surrounded by so many good restaurants in Chelsea one of them is undoubtly Shikara. One of few reason I go there is though their located in smart chelsea but pricing is very indian, serving traditional dishes. Nice posh comfortable leather seatings.

Me and my girlfriend went to Shikara on last Friday evening, just taking a chance because we did not find a place in our regular restaurants. I have to admit Shikara was a pleasant surprise. The ambience was nice, the staff was so attentive and well-behaved and the food was great. On top of that, the bill was only £44 including 3-course meal for both of us and two bottles of French red wine.
