Considering its prime location in the heart of Chelsea, Shikara offers top quality food at very acceptable prices. Mr Hussain and his team offer a very warm welcome and service is always fast and efficient, but never over bearing. Menu recommendation: The Shikara mixed grill accompanied by a smooth mango lassi!!!

We were there last friday with a group of 6 we had mix starters followed by selection of main dishes which we shared between the table.
The dishes were freshly prepared in olive oil non of them had gee (Indian butter)
each dishes had it own distinctive flavour. service was impecibble Dessert menu was bit lacking. Overall exceptional.

Last time when we were dining we had Roger Moore seating next to our table. Good place with plenty of spicy dishes to choose from particularly Lael Maas was very tasty lamb dish. yeah! definitely going back who knows maybe I'll be seating next Tom Cruise next time when I am there.

We have been dining at Shikara over the past two years when wanting to have an authentic Indian meal using fresh food and herbs.
On our very first visit the service was slow but it was busy and the food is individually cooked however when the meal arrived it was worth waiting for and we have been returning ever since..
Service is now much faster with no loss of quality, to be recommended as one of the best Indian restaurants in the area.

Food: Indian cuisine at it's best. Service: Impeccable. Ambience: Modern with leather furniture. Location: Great, Chelsea. Overall: Exceptional.
Recommended dish: Laal Maas spicy lamb cooked in chillies. Avoid: green round chillies (niga or narga).
