We had a wonderful experience at shikara, Achar gosht - lamb cooked in pickling spice was brilliant it is really a genuine flavoured Indian. It's a must try.

Me and my partner ended up there last night we've enjoyed the menu Shikara had to offer, service very nice and polite and ambience very relaxing it's not rashing like TGI Fridays.

DON'T BOTHER. ZERO ATMOSPHERE (EVEN ON A SAT. NIGHT), VERY BLAND FOOD, AND A DESSERT MENU WITH PHOTOS OF THE "SPECIALS" - JUST GO TO KHANS IN BAYSWATER IF YOU WANT THIS LEVEL OF DINING. SAVING GRACE WAS GREAT COMPANY AT THE TABLE!

Cool relaxing ambience, Great menu choice, Friendly service. Definitely best upmarket value for money Indian restaurant in chelsea..maybe London!

On our last visit the owner arranged a set dinner menu for 6 of us. the starter had mini shami kabobs, squid rings, crunchy crab cake and grilled chicken strips followed by lamb chop karahi - spicy curried lamb chops, monkfish in tamarind extract, chicken jalfraijy (hot) and mild lamb passadra with lentils tempered in garlic - the best lentil in town. It was awesome really good. It's worth paying a visit.

Desserts not too sure about but rest was genuinely good.

Shikara offers fabulous food in very luxury surroundings, very gentle relaxing ambience. Food tasted fresh and authentic.Service was impeccable throughout. I would recommend it for people going on first date.
