Ignore the negative reviews of this restaurant, it's fantastic in terms of price, taste and quality. It's a curry house, not haute cuisine, you get what you pay for and if you're after an inexpensive but tasty meal you cant go wrong. I live in the area and frequent the restaurant regularly and have never had a bad meal here. Generous portions, friendly waiters, good wine list and a cheap bill at the end of the meal, if that's what you're after then give this place a go.

You will be made to feel welcome here. We came to this restaurant blind, in that we did not read any reviews beforehand. And we can now confidently state that nothing has changed in the standard of this restaurant since the last few reviews were posted here.
The main element that struck me was that it was incredibly good value for money. We ate until it was physically impossible to continue and the bill came to £18 per head, including drinks and tip.
There's not a lot to let this restaurant down. If you're at a loose end in the area, you won't feel disappointed here.

I've been going here for many years. I like it though I agree the tables are too close together and sometimes it can get a tad noisey. Don't sit by the door as it can get very draughty. I usually go for a prawn dish and find it very pleasant. Personally I wouldn't touch chicken with a bargepole these days - I mean have you seen what they inject them with.
I find the waiters very friendly and I like to think that the occasional billing mistake is down to confusion rather than anything sneaky. Always check the bill just in case. Last 2 occasions draught lager hasn't been on to be replaced by expensive bottled lager. Might start questionning this if is happens a third time.
Re-reading this review I may come across a bit negative but I think it's well worth a visit.

This dreadful establishment should be avoided at all costs. Don't be fooled (as we were) by its apparent popularity if you stroll past it on a weekend evening; its clientele clearly don't know better and mainly comprises inexperienced twenty-something diners who are inebriated or uneducated enough not to care.
The highly dubious meat in my tikka masala purported to be chicken. If so, then the bird in question must have been an avian Clint Eastwood; old, tough and gristly and with a determined resistance to being consumed. The masala sauce was too runny and sweet to the point of revulsion. A side order of tarka dhal looked like green glue and had a similar consistency and flavour. Even the pilau rice was drab and clumpy and lacking in aroma.
In all seriousness, the dishes here are outperformed several times over by most equivalent microwaveable supermarket curries. Sainsbury's, in particular, offer many curry meals which are far superior.
