A great place. New revised menu (after customer questionaire) and enlarged kids menus. Teas is £1.40 a mug so not the cheapest but food quality is good with lots of homemade items and meals. Large South facing terrace and inside seating. for everyone except pushchairs it seems!. A good buzz here. Open all year and till late in the Summer nights.. Golders Hil Park is large with animals, birds, and a great kids playground. Easy bus transport on North End rd. Golders Green Tube nearby... take bus up the hill..Do try to get to the Pergola... but not with a buggy. See also Avenue House.

I have been going to Golders Hill Cafe once or twice a week since my daughter was born 2.5 years ago. I generally find the staff helpful and the food of a good standard. It is true that they don't let people bring buggies into the cafe any more, as they were causing blockages in the very narrow aisles. They also get a bit uppity about using high chairs where they might block the aisles between tables. Other than that, I would highly recommend this cafe in summer and in the colder months...

I was stunned to be asked to leave the cafe with my buggy yesterday 24/05/10. The cafe was empty, I was offered a high chair when i explained my baby was 17 weeks old and couldn't sit up the woman shrugged her shoulders and said no buggies.
I frequently visit Queens Park and Paddington Rec cafes, these are welcoming and very busy. Unfortunately The Italian Cafe in Golders Hill Park was neither.
