I went with my girlfriend to romano`s last night around 22:15. From the outside it looks anything but beauty. Inside, the place lacks any kind of decoration and is tiny. We stayed because it was too late to look for another place, though. We were the only customers. They brought us some old bread to commence with. We got our orders in 5 minutes, that was good, the bad part is that it was something they simply heated in a microwave oven. My rice with fungus had the same taste the canned instant meals I purchase every now and then has. My girlfriends pasta was not any better. The attention was good.

I don't understand how on earth this place gets such good rates??

The quality of food was just simply bad. Very very oily and not fresh at all, you can tell they use very cheap olive oil. My pasta was like swimming in a sea of oil and a bottle of sparkling water was warm. Fried calamari was wet and dull, so far from crispy. I won't ever go back again. Sorry!

I was staying in London for a couple of days, didnt really know where I was, randomly came across Romanos! This is a lovely authentic quaint Italian restaurant, its not plush, Its not glitzy, but its great value for money and the service is excellent, the food was good. it was a decent find and I shall return next time!

Twenty four hours after a wonderful experience at Timo's in Kensington, Romanos proved to be the other end of the gastronomic spectrum. Not only was the decor and ambience reminiscent of a transport cafe but the food was unimaginative and appalling. I suspected that the so-called "fresh" vegetables had been left standing for some days and the unexciting beef carpaccio was accompanied by enough rocket to keep me supplied for a month. I have rarely seen such a poor eating establishment so widely hyped. I will put this nightmare down to unfortunate experience and long remember Romanos, for totally negative reasons.

I came here for dinner yesterday and was very impressed by two things: the food is all excellent as is the service. The poor waitress was rushed off her feet but was still attentive to our needs. My friend and I have decided that this is our new favourite Italian we can come to for good food and good conversation.

Just discovered this place even though its right on my doorstep. Fantastic little place. Great value for money. The best Lasagne and Tiramisu in town. Will be going there very often.

We were in London on a mini vacation and found this restaurant on this website. We loved every minute of it, the quaint dining rooms, the service and especially the food! What a great little place with great food and great prices. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a small, family owned, lovely Italian restaurant. Another plus, the St. Mary Abbotts Church is right on the corner and is absolutely beautiful.
