Papaya Restaurant

One of the finest restaurants in the Capital, if not England.
Not only does it look fantastic but the food is stunning.
If you are looking for the finest Sri Lankan / South Indian food in V.I.P surroundings, look no further.
I question the person, who gave this 0/10,
I suggest they stick to turkey twizzlers.

We visited London while taxi-ing a party to the Brit Awards so wanted to have a meal to pass the time until our party were ready to be collected.
We love Indian cuisine but don't know London at all so drove blindly until we spotted a restaurant that we could park near. Going through Ealing, we spotted Papaya and were pleased to find we could park immediately in the street next to it.
We found Papaya staff to be attentive and the service was amazingly fast. The food was glorious and the inside of the restaurant looked clean and well presented.
Excellent all round and we will definitely want to go again the next time we are in London.

Excellent Food
Very Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff
I have also noticed they have had great reviews in the UK Lanka Times.
You must try the devil dishes, with Lemon or coconut rice and Kothu dishes.

I have to disagree with the comments regarding the Ealing branch of Papaya. I have visited this restaurant on several occassions, and the service and food have been excellent. The staff are always friendly and chatty, and the food is superb - the devilled chicken is a must. I highly recommend a visit!

They have the worst customer service in restaurants i've ever been. (EALING BRANCH)They have a bad attitude for certain communities, this is from my family and few friends experience. You can have a booking on the phone and when they see you they may have lost the booking. No sorry, no suggestion to wait or accomodate later. If you make a reservation with them make sure that you have a second in another as it is not a gurantee. This has happened more than one time for us.

I eat at Papaya in Rayners Lane regularly and the food is always excellent. I enjoy the string hopper and dhosai which are ameal on their own. The food is well priced for the area and service is pleasant and efficient with helpful tips and assistance on ment items for those who do not know about Sri Lankan food. The restaurant is clean and modern and I definitely recommend it.

I have eaten at this Sri Lankan restaurant many times and have never been disppointed. The food is freshly prepared, tasty, full of flavour and spices whether you prefer hot, medium or mild dishes. I strongly recommend the Madura Manga Kalan (a mild curry of mangos and green bananas), the seafood curry and any of the devilled dishes. Everything has its own flavour and it is worth trying something different every time. The service is very friendly and the cost of the food is very reasonable making it even more tempting to eat there on a regular basis!
