I went to Savarona for the first time the other day, and I must say the amount of clientele did not reflect the restaurant.
Although nearly empty the food and service were without doubt first class, we went for a £10 deal and the food was excellent. The service was also just as good and Mario is both charming and sincere without being over the top, I have no idea why it is not more busy maybe trendy shoreditch is not yet ready for a top quality venue yet. At the moment they are also doing various other excellent deals so get in now while you can.

I went to Savarona on Saturday evening with a friend, and it was absolutely marvelous:
We were served by the manager, who was not only extremely considerate, but also willing and able to provide us with plenty of information about the different dishes and wines as well - he obviously knew what he was talking about. The service was impeccable and the food absolutely delicious. My starter, tiger prawns in garlic and thyme sauce, was the best I've had, and my friend's crispy duck salad was wonderful. The mains we chose (sirloin stake) was not exactly typical ottoman cuisine, but nevertheless great - the menu has a good balance of typical Turkish dishes and more... British options. When the time came for pudding, we were very full, but our waiter convinced us to try a selection of their desserts... I'm glad we caved in! Chocolate fondant, berry cream and apple crumble, which was not only beautiful to look at but also a perfect ending for this gorgeous meal. The decor and general atmosphere at Savarona are wonderful, and one can truly feel that customers' well-being is the staff's first priority. I think that restaurant is an equally ideal venue for nights out, business lunches and romantic dinners; I will definitely be going back.

Ate dinner here on a Thursday night, only 2 other tables being used. Found the restaurant menu bizarre, don't think they quite know what to offer the customer - traditional Turkish food or more commercial dishes. Food was just too ordinary for the prices being charged - the lamb was way overspiced and overcooked (even though asked to be cooked medium rare). Nothing special, a fairly amateur feel to the place - there are certainly far better restaurants in the area, the decor is now looking pretty tired too. Would not go back to the restaurant, but the upstairs bar is still a good place for nibbles and drinks.

fantastic menu, delicious food and full service. what else I can expect from a restaurant. when I entered to the savarona bar with my friends , manager greeted us with a big smile. then he got our drink orders. in a minute our drinks were on our table. then we walk through to the cutest restaurant in london.
we couldnt believe when we see the menu at savarona.fushion menu. that was the first suprise from the chief. second one was the fantastic food. it is amazing to say that the best scallops I have ever had in my life is in savarona restaurant.I had savarona mixed grill as a main course. IT was FANTASTIC. and my friends didnt want to leave the restaurant.. they were licking their fingers after having choclate fondant as a desert. thanks for excellent service.

Both the bar and the restaurant look great, but that's where it sadly ends. Even on a Saturday night, the restaurant was dead. Service was appalling, the waiter recommending we order far too much food, which was average at best when it arrived. Prices are very high for the area, but the food and service gets nowhere close to the required mark.

Having tried this for lunch, for two, we decided to book for our Christmas Lunch (12). Big mistake. We booked for 1pm and everyone arrived to have drinks in the bar from about 12.30. We sat down at 1.15 after being asked if we would like Mezzes to start, these would be brought to the table on arrival. They arrived at 1.45pm Despite ordering our main courses at 1.15 when we sat down, we didnt receive our main course til gone 3.00pm. By this time everyone was starving. Nobody could fault the food but the service was appauling. We had to ask for empty plates to be removed and at one point I had so many glasses I didnt know which to drink from! There was only one other large party in the restaurant and they were served and gone before we had received our mains, despite being seated only 30 mins before us.

It was very quite, but it was a Monday lunchtime. Decor was very pleasing and downstairs in the restaurant it was even better. The service was excellent - the waiter had time to talk and suggest dishes (but it was v quiet). The food was well presented and tasted excellent, and we sampled some rather good turkish wine! We liked it so much we booked for our Christmas office do!

Absolutely fantastic! The décor is stunning and very luxurious yet intimate. The service was outstanding one of the best I have ever received, attentive yet unobtrusive. Our waiter made some excellent recommendations. The food was superb, in particular the garlic prawn and aubergine starters. One of the party was Vegan and the restaurant made a dish to order. Highly recommended!!!
