Service - the drink waitresses were great - attentive, polite and quick, the food waitresses were slow and didnt seem friendly and just kept pushing us to have more drinks - the cocktails were 90% ice but the 10% of liquid tasted quite nice - not bad for £10 each

Food was poor - starters were small portions and were just not up to the standard. Mains took forever to come out and were luke warm, bland and tasteless, lamb overcooked, rubbery cod and prawns and undercooked ducked, dripping in blood just had to be returned

had a problem concerning wine at the end of the meal - waitress didnt want to know (considering we had 12 bottles and about 30 cocktails) and said there was nothign she could do - WE had to ask 4 times for the manager to speak to us, he eventually came and didnt want to know either and all he sadi was that he had been in business for 25 years which is amazing considering his attitude and in the middle of conversation he just left and never to be seen again.

I would not recomend this place to my worst enemy and if that is the attitude of the owner and the staff then why would any one want to give this place any business

We choose Occo to celebrate my husband's birthday because we are fascinated with Morocco, its landscape, its people and of course its food. Occo brought us back to Morocco again, kind, quick and excellent service, exciting cocktail menu, magic and exotic Moroccan atmosphere and exquisite menu from starters through main courses to desserts. Perfect to enjoy again and again !

After being invited to a "straight from work get together" on 27/04/2007. I first decided to 'look the place up' so to speak via the internet. I was pleasantly surprised that low & behold a review page with previous ratings appeared before my very eyes. (Wow)

My excitement was even more enhanced when I saw the scores, foolishly I promised the ‘massive’ that I would send my review once the night was extinguished. So, well recovered, overdue but still sharp in the mind here goes….

Being late (again) from work I did not want to miss any more than I already had so straight to the bar & upon waiting for service met a few of the ‘massive’ who informed me that was in-fact happy hour! Music to my ears we then proceeded to dominate the staff in our quest for refreshment & docked in the chill out zone.

Armed with plenty of alcoholic ammunition we settled down to enjoy the surroundings of our new found watering hole.

The night began slightly edgy due to not everyone knowing each other that well, however during the course of the gathering we all had a magnificent feast of fun, jokes, great company & above all an excellent sanctuary.

We all mixed & matched our cocktails, even divulged in the fruit flavoured hashish that was available Strawberry, Cherry & Blackcurrant.

The staff were helpful, polite patient & well presented.

The only disappointment was that we were unable to sample the cuisine mainly because that we were unaware of the meal facility until we had already cremated the whip round (next time possibly…..).

The only other blotch was that the ones that stayed until the bar closed was that the last trains had already departed (time flies when you are having fun) & it was the good old night bus for the remaining stragglers, to plan the route home.

Nevertheless it was well worth the experience & I think I can speak for the whole of the ‘Massive’ that very soon we will be retuning to our new found pleasure leisure

Great location and thoughtful interior, really relaxing after work. Food was really good value and the menu was very well laid out and not over complicated. I did think that waitress sold a bit too hard!

My fiance and I dined at Occo the other week and although the food was lovely we found the place very crowded and noisy. The waithing staff were lovely and the food and wine were reasonably priced. I would recommend this place as somewhere to eat if you are out with a group of people.

My friend and i had a very good meal and lots of fun at occo. The meal was delicious especially desert, mini doughnuts and pannacotta. It was a great evening, the belly dancer was fantastic and the man that prepares the shisha a really good laugh. We will return.

My boyfriend and I dined at Occo recently and had a serious issue with both of our dishes. We very subtley and politely brought this to the attention of management so as not to cause them embarassment. Unfortunately, our complaint was met with much disdain leading us to believe that they did not take the complaint seriously. We will not dine at Occo again, nor will we recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Occo was very crowded and there was lots of noise from the bar on the ground floor when I went (on a Friday) evening, so my expectations were not particularly high.

Starter (duck spring rolls) and dessert (sticky toffee pudding) failed to make much of a mark, but my main course (snapper with oysters and spicy sweet potato) was outstanding - one of the tastiest and best cooked pieces of fish I've eaten.

Wine was reasonably priced and the 2002 Aussie Shiraz we ordered totally belied its small pricetag. Service was a little chaotic, but the waitresses extremely friendly.

Overall I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
