Last time we went, it was 6 of us and service was slow, they even forgot one meal (just fried broccoli) and when it finally came (after all others had eaten), the broccoli had sprouted and was YELLOW that's certainly NOT what you offer, replace the dish, if the ingredients are that old! Haven't been back and don't think I will either.

It is true that the décor and atmosphere are not fabulous (but hey, it’s on Holloway Road), but the food certainly is! Particular mention goes to the sizzling lamb, the beef ribs, hot stone bowl of rice with vegetables: each one is mouth-wateringly delicious and totally addictive. You might find the service may be a bit stand-offish at first, but if you go more than once, Kim and her family are delightful. Koreans who have eaten here say it is by far the best Korean food they have eaten in the UK. Try it, you’ll like it!

There is only one thing to recommend this restaurant: the food, which is very good. I have been a regular diner there for years. The Kim Chi is freshly made each time, and all the vegetable starters are excellent. It is all cheap and you will struggle to spend more than £30 a head. However, service is glacial at best, and they will happily leave you to sit for 20 minutes before offering you a drink. Also the food tends to be served as it is cooked, rather than all at once. Hence, your main course may arrive 5 minutes efore your rice, which mway arrive a couple of minutes before your vegetables. The decor is shabby, and the whole place could do with a good lick of paint. That all said, the food makes it all worth while and it is one of our favourite restaurants. Give it a try.
