I went for the first time last night. As a fan of the Turkish restaurants in Dalston and Stoke Newington I have been to many of them over the years and I don't understand what all the fuss is about this place. We had the over-priced set menu and the salads and starters were limp, the meat wasn't great, the bread was nothing special and it was over-priced. Don't believe the hype - if you walk up the road towards Stoke Newington you'll find better food in any of the other places nearby and for less money.

There is nothing special about this place and it is more expensive than nearby Turkish and Kurdish restaurants. Over rated, overpriced. Grilled meat is grilled meat and vegetarian main dishes are not even edible. Unfriendly waiting staff. Dalston has cheaper and better Turkish/Kurdish restaurants.

something about a place where when you walk in you can smell the charcoal. The food is great, try the grilled aubergine salad.

Hunky turkish waiters, warm but relaxed atmosphere, and the best Iskender I've had in London. What more could you ask for.

This was one of the best Turkish restaurant we have been to. We, a party of 14, visited on a Friday evening about 20.30, knowing that it would be busy but only waited about 5 mins for a table. The waiters were superb. Our meal was really tasty - the meat dishes were amazing , a large and fresh mixed salad, with plenty of bread. Definately one of the best in London.
