We use the Raj as our local Indian Takeaway and each and every dish is always superb. It always arrives hot and with such friendly staff, you really cannot go wrong! Our favorite is Chicken Tikka Masala, but they are great at recommendations too - so trust them and give yourself a tantalising treat.

I am bangladeshi myself and struggle to find a restaurant that can satisfy my culinary requirements as i do not like anglicised indian food. i visited Raj of India 4 years ago, and love their food, the staff, the traditional decor and furniture, it just provides a classic indian/bangladeshi feel to it. My fave dish is the Balti chicken tikka masalla extremely hot, its not the sweet curry you get in other ndian restaurants but a hot and spciy mix. i just love it there, and love it so much i go once a week! my husbnd and i usually just get a main course each, a side dish between the both of us i.e. bombay aloo or aloo gobi and 2 portions of rice with tap water and the bill usually comes to approx £20-25. bargain, hence the reason i can afford to ear out every weekend!
