I went to Reds with three of my friends for dinner and was extremely disappointed. Two of us ordered Ribs, myself a Full Rack for £14, and the size of the portion was equivelant to 1/2 a rack else where. (Spur in Wandsworth)

The half rack ordered by my friend consisted of 4 ribs. The service was slow and clinical and not one smile.

The menu was mediocre considering they offered no diversity: burgers competing against Gourmet Burger next door, and chicken dishes competing with Nando's across the road.

A group of friends went to Reds the other day for a bite to eat and a catch up, they wanted to put 5 of us on two tiny tabled pushed together when there was plenty of room at the back. We ordered our drinks first then a short while after ordered our food, one friend ordered another drink, this only arrived after we had eaten and just before we got the bill. I ordered a burger and requested a few times to miss out the egg, yet it came with an egg, the waiter just told me he would pick it out for me... not what you expect to hear to be honest. All of us ordered burgers, they were incredibly greasy and not very enjoyable. The chips were not great either to be honest, not think any of it was value or quality for money and i would give it a miss, try next door for at gourmet burger kitchen instead maybe for a bigger selection and better quality.

Reds, being one of my favorite restaurants in Wimbledon. Although yes it is a bit pricey but hey the food has always been fabulous, always been served by a waitress within 10 minutes which isn't bad going especially seeing as we always make dinner bookings. Food is generally with us within 25-40 minutes and that includes all the salads, drinks etc;

I've only been going to Reds since summer 2007 and the reviews that I've read are all in 2006, so maybe they have improved!

Myself and my friends and family are not the type of people to sit there and just wait for the waitress/waiter to come to us. We make it very clear when were ready to order and the same applies when were waiting for our food.

Anyway in my opinion Reds Dinners are absolutely delicious and there's only one other restaurant in Wimbledon that also give splendid and quality food!

My boyfriend and I went here for a bite to eat before going to the cinema on Friday evening. There were people sitting at the tables so it was buzzy but not busy and it still took the waiter 15 minutes to take our order and another 35 minutes for our meal (2 burgers and chips) to turn up.

The burgers were alright but nothing great and the cajun chips would have been a lot nicer had they just been chips (the cajun bit was some cajun spices sprinkled on top before they were served).

The meal with 2 cokes was £30, which was steep for what we got. If you fancy burgers and don't mind spending £30 for them then you are much better off going to Gourmet Burger Kitchen next door.

Staff here are not the most friendly in the world and a couple of them simply aren't good at their job. So whoever does the hiring and firing at Reds is clearly not up to that job. As for the food - nothing to write home about but I would say the Reds breakfast is very good. Yes, a full English type affair which in theory is very easy. But it is a grill up (and not a fry up) and very tasty too. And not too expensive. Great for a Sunday morning. But for somewhere that does breakfast surely it should open before 9?

Attracted to this establishment for the pre Theater Dinner for just £10 - two courses.

Cheap admittedly. But cheap for a reason. Ingredients were poor, portions small and I dread to think of the ingredients of my burger.

Slightly arrogant service, which is surprising considering the cost and clientele.

Ambience okay.

Afraid I will not be returning.

What a disaster! Our table for 9 was in what amounted to a corridor and we were jostled by staff going by throughout lunch. The waiter took our order but after 30 minutes the meals arrived two short. Sorry, we are only doing breakfasts and the lunches are off!! we waited another 20 minutes for a meal we didn't want - to their credit they said they would not charge - but when the bill arrived they HAD charged! Also, there was no paper OR towels or drier in the WC. Will never go there again!

We went there last night foran early dinner. The restaurant was very quiet-we were the only people there for some time. The service was alright, not bad, but not exceptional. That said, after our starter there was some cheese which had fallen off the plate on the table. Our waitress not only left it there, instead of brushing it off, but worse, put my new napkin and silverware right on top of it. I couldn't credit it. The starter (Nachos) genuinely seemed as if it had been left over from lunch and re-heated, so soft were the corn chips.

My "medium" burger was overdone on the outside. The chilli garnish on starter and main courses was very tired.

We won't be back.

On 4 occassions in the past 2 months we have tried Reds - both for breakfast and lunch and on all of these occassions we have walked out feeling very disappointed. The service is appauling, the waitresses are unfriendly and rude, and the food has not been great. On our most recent visit, we went for lunch to celebrate my birthday. The only reason we chose Reds was because they have the outside area and the weather was glorious (and we hoped it had improved!)We waited 20 minutes for our drinks, an hour and a half for our food and when we enquired about the food and why it was taking so long we received a very snotty and rude response from the waitress and waiter on duty. When the food did arrive, the burgers were overcooked and dry - certainly not worth the wait. I will definately not be going back to Reds.
