Quality is average, but prices are superb. Do not know anywhere in London where you can get any pizza and a bottle of beer (nice danish Tuborg) for a fiver. They also have a 3-course menu for 12 quid with wine. Had that the first time we went and although food was good, we had a truly bad experience with the wine. Obviously we were not expecting a fantastic wine for that price, but the white was really off. Waitress was very offended when we asked her to open a new bottle, which she eventually did, just to confimr that that lot of wine was really not acceptable to be served. She argued that "that´s how that wine tastes" and refused to offer a different drink. Overall, decent pizza for a bargain, not sure you should expect anything else though.

I've been going to the Globe Sting Ray regularly for about 4 years. You honestly cannot get a better pizza for this kind of money. I even excused a slight increase in prices over this time as its still damn cheap.
I'm not saying this is the best food in the entire universe, I am saying I currently know nowhere better in London where you can have a pizza and pint for under a tenner that is this good.
The chefs are grumpy, but who cares as you don't have to talk to them... its hard to get a table, indicative of its popularity and relatively small size.... the waitresses are average at best, but hell, for that money, I'll go pick up my own pizza from the counter.
The pizza is nice wood fire oven fare, plenty of choice, fresh staples, and ginormous calzones. Peroni on tap as well. Simple and effective
